mantokhamspanker, I fully agree - very under-appreciated roles; he's had a few. Did you ever see "Young Adam"? I bought both from my video store used; find them fascinating. I know what you mean about his little girl singing that song. Did you watch the commentary? Interesting to see how they filmed that one scene where she is seen in 3 rooms...they did use twins and some trick photography - very clever film-making. The story is a heartbreaker.

Great job on this video, danceaway!...I love this movie and own it...did you ever watch it with the commentary turned on? It's fascinating. His actual wife pilots the helicoper but actually it is a volkwagen...hah..also Ewan did not want to wear that dorky jacket. They explain how they shot the scene in the room with the little girl in three places at the same time.
I love how vulnerable and sad Ewan is in this film. He is really a great actor and shows such depth.

Ewan plays these complex, dark and vulnerable characters so well. I love him. This movie is so moving!

This movie was one of his many under appreciated roles. One of my very favorite films. the scene with his imaginary daughter singing "I wish you love" moves me every time I see it. a great rendition of a classic song.
