I think this is the first time that CGR has displayed a Gamecube game (2:21) at it's native aspect ratio as opposed to what the Wii outputted. Hope this continues for future reviews.

Thank you for picking Wario Stadium! It is among the most significant Mario Kart courses in my own personal history with the series, if for not other reason beside it being the most frequently played course at my local Best Buy on their GIANT SCREEN. These two things are synonymous, and they are absolute gaming bliss...or embarrassment, depending on how well your game went.

This why I love CGR and their community. Most times when IGN tries to pull something like this off, they get a flood of comments whining something along the lines of "These features SUCK!  Stick to reviews so we can talk about how much we disagree with you or that we agree that this game sucks....but more than you."

Dude, 2 out of 5 of the bottom half of the top 10 is not "MOST". For all we know, NONE of the top 5 are going to be from Mario Kart 64. You don't know enough to make that claim.

Also, it was heavily implied that this list was a collaborative effort, so it may not be JUST Derek's opinions on the matter.

Also X2 Combo: I think I remember Derek praising the course design (and other things) in his review of Mario Kart 64, while being negative about the controls.

That just seems like a cop-out to me. Besides, they picked a specific Mario Circuit, (which I'm fairly certain appears in all the Mario Kat games) rather than just saying it is a defining basic course for the Mario Kart series in all its incarnations, or something.

As a side note, I'd love to see a short TOP 5 or something on the best Battle Courses in Mario Kart. Block Fort all the way!
