Jawa 350/634-7 1981

I got a question. i seen some Jawa¨s that are called 350 and some are 350/640 or 350/634 etc. why is that? arnt they all 350cc?

@mac163 usually they are 350cc, but there are also 250cc and 500cc engines, 634, 638,640, also 360(350cc) and 559(single cylinder 250cc) are the model numbers, 360 and 559 is the same frame, with different engines. First numbers are cubic centimetres/model number. Got me?

For these bikes nowadays 12V electronic iginition systems are easy to get. it eliminates a lot of trouble and make your jawa a fine travelling machine

i know about 12v systems, but i try to keep it all original parts on the bike, but jawa will never be a travelling machine, just a sunday ride motorcycle

Kaut kā motors dīvaini skan kad uzgāzē, tā kā kaut kas berstos, bet varbūt tas tikai dēļ kameras mikrafona!

I had exactly the same bike, the same year and also in Leningrad (the plate). You have to keep an eye on the spark advance. Otherwise the bike will not run properly and will not last. Great off road, great pick up at low RPMs but it vibrates and it's very slow.

yeah, those 6volt models have major ignition problems. But thats the nicest thing about these motorcycles, you always have to keep an eye out for them, never know what might happen ;)

Та ну не надо! По мне 6 вольтовка не такая как раз и капризная, чтобы не иметь проблем с зажиганием мозги нужно иметь и прямые руки!

согласен нашчёт прямых рук! но у 6 вольтовки очень недодуманная зарядка и прочие нюансы, легче поменять на 12 вольт

Ну все таки это 6 вольтовка, и скорее всего что зажигание не так выставленно!

es saku ka taa graboņa ir no aizdedzes vāka kas nau riktīgi pievilkts un vibrē. man tāda pati skaņa bija ar veco 360 modelipievilku vāku un vairs neskanēja

I've never had the 634-5 model. I have 634-7 which has 22 HP. The data about your model I took from the Dutch page. Maybe they were not right.

350/634-5 it's the strongest model of Jawa 350/634. It has 28 HP. My Jawa 350/634-7 has 22 HP.

This model has strongest gearbox, my Jawa has 24,5 hp - from book. But in real you need to have very good engine to get those hp, or you have to modify the engine a bit like taking weight off the crankshaft and polish pistons

Graboņa uz augstākiem apgriezieniem ir no tā ka nav īsti pieskrūvēta bāka. Un graboņa nāk no abiem cilindriem, jo kamēr tie nav krāsoti, pretvibrācijas gumijiņas vēl nelikšu

Tā nelielā graboņa gadījumā nenāk no labā cilindra? Šķiet ka tā tāda kā iedzimtā slimība šīm Jawelēm. Nedaudz piestrādā un būs mocis uz goda! :)
