im niether a conservitive nor a liberal. i do think conservitives are hypocrites not cus of the other video but cus 5 years ago conservaties like fox news called anti war protesters soar losers or nuts but now the new protester like the conservitives are called hereos or patriots when in reality some of them are idiots like the chick who asked the question and didnt even listen to the answere. during th bush years on couple took bush shirts with an x over them and got arrested now they have guns
Did you consider the merits of each argument? Like. for example, people protesting us defending our country against terrorists may have less to protest about than people trying to stop a government takeover of a large sector of the economy as well as our personal lives?
We need to be safe from terrorists who will stop at nothing to destroy us. We do not need government bankrupting the healthcare industry so they can control it and tax us for the pleasure.
dude anyone can make thier own side sound good you say protecting they say killing, they say security you say socalisim .if you really want to talk war have you listened to anything about what the war is causing to america like the loss of money billions killing maybe 2 or 3 terrorist a month(which guess what we are losing way people and way more money) which wasnt even for protection but for access to oil
Well, we weren't at war with ANYONE when we got attacked. So suffice it to say that not going to war is not a guarantee that we get left alone by those barbarians.
And the whole oil myth is...well, just that, a myth.
You claim conservatives oppose drugs because it makes the person more dangerous to society. Using that logic, I guess you believe in alcohol prohibition as well.
Alcohol is involved in the deaths of over 15,000 people on US roads every year, while in Saudi Arabia where alcohol is banned, there are no drunk driving deaths.
As a matter of fact I do, yes, and what you point out is 100% correct - and despite our "if it feels good, do it" self-indulgent society's lax attitude toward alcohol use, I think we could learn from them in that respect.
You sir, are a calm, and informed debater. I may disagree with some of your points, but I would like to thank you for the way in which you presented them. It's a shame that more who share your political affiliation do not do the same.
Thank you so much for your comment! Believe me, I do not get this too often. I thank you and praise you!
As to why many conservatives don't so the same - well, honestly, we feel drowned out in a sense. I mean with one-party rule and the media siding with that party one can appreciate why the other side may feel like they have to shout.
Like what's going on the town hall health care debates - seems like the reason they have to scream is because the push for NHC has become mainstream.
I would refuse to pray in school, b/c I go to school to learn non-religious stuff, if I wanted to learn about praying, etc, I'll go to a school for it, aka Church.
But if it's a question of values, should "what you want" as a child be primary? Would you want to live in a world where children were taught that all that matters is what they want and nothing else?
Guess it's all just some major cosnic accident that, as we have gotten rid of prayer more and more in school, kids are more unruly and less respectful? How do you reconcile that?
i don't understand the controversy of prayer in public school... if you want to pray, you are allowed, so what's the prob? right before a test you are free to pray, before you eat your lunch you are free to pray, so what more do you "people" want?
Not always true. A lot of times kids have been stricken down for that, and the ACLU has tried to get rid of even that (and with the swearing in of Sonja Sotomayor they are just now 1 Supreme Court justice from making that happen).
"Us people" want religion to be freely experienced in school without someone having to look over their legal shoulders or be silenced in fear of being sued.
well, gay kids would like to feel safe at school without having to worry about getting beat up or worse, black kids would like to feel comfortable without racial slurs being thrown their way, jewish children want to feel ok without insults thrown their way... face it, school sucks and I have seen first hand all of the above. legally though, you have total freedom to pray at school as long as you are not being disruptive and that goes for EVERYBODY regardless of what faith you are
BTW Chris - I encourage open and free debate, but if you are going to debate me on my (and others') vids could you please at least do me the courtesy of unblocking me from your channel so the playing field can be level? You're not afraid, are you?
I'm pretty sure a lot of conservative's believed in taking away certain rights in the name of safety but thats happens in both parties, its still hypocrisy tho
Actually we don't take away certain rights in the name of safety. Most of what cpnservatives "take away" are things that, if you think about it, really shouldn't be done in the first place.

Public schools are for learning things other than religion, that's what a church is for, and regardless, no one would make me pray in school.
Thank goodness I have graduated, so I don't have to worry about it anymore.
