Despite the fact that you are all batshit crazy, why call yourselves campus crusade for christ? The crusades were a point in history that christians conquered vast amounts of land and killed people who wouldn't convert. You are all retarded.
Crusade is a cult. Clear and simple. Its taking advantage of people lonely, new to campus and in the process brainwashes them. I'd avoid CCC like I'd avoid cancer.
CCC staff are some of the hardest working people I know. To think they are doing their job to get out of work is ridiculous. They are passionate enough to raise their own salaries in the face of this kind of ridicule. Please be informed before expressing your opinions.
@wvubaker In my experience, the reason staff members join is because they want to be around the college environment for its obvious benefits. They aren't under pressure to study, so they end up just being young adults looking to make friends without having to pay for college tuition.
There are students in free-thought societies targeting Campus Crusade for Christ members to deconvert them to atheism. And they say staff members who have seen life are more open-minded to deconversion.
Translation to the politician-type answers to "Why I came on staff with Campus Crusade." (1) "I want to invest my life" = I want others to invest in me (give me cash) so I can avoid a real job. (2) "I want to bridge gaps with minorities" = I can guilt people in to giving me MONEY because I'm a minority so I don't have to get a real job. (3) "After working 4 years in the corporate world . . ." = I GOT FIRED and couldn’t' find another job, so why not do this and have people give me cash.
Human granted with the free will to believe in any thing and every thing. you can see around people believe in Sun, Fire, Man, Monkey, Snake people they believe and worship them as their god. Scriptures people believe in has it from god, there is not only once scripture in the world they are so many. so If human think really about a creator and if any human believe on that creator it's so easy and simple to recognize him how it's " No man ever seen him (God), nor the Son". God is unseen
I was in Cru for four semesters ... stay away from this group, people!
Reflected within every aspect of this deeply emotional religious group is the message that your life is utterly meaningless unless you "accept Jesus into your heart".
There is no peace in this doctrine. Our inherent imperfections are magnified and our skills wolfishly used. When I could no longer believe their Hell-fire tenants, 100+ of my valued friends within the group refused to speak to me.
If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, he survives a day or two, no vengeance shall be taken; for he is his property. Ex 21:20-21
You may also buy them from among the children of aliens among you, or from their families, whom they begot in your land. These shall become your property: you may keep them as a possession for your children, for them to inherit as property forever. Such you may treat as slaves. Lev 25:44
Cult "light" - using a core truth while contolling and manipulating your life. These people do not allow anyone w/i their organzation to disagree on anything. You MUST get into their system, climb the ranks, or you are out. They do want you to go to church, but only to promote their cuase. You are NOT premitted to be ACTIVELY invovled in another ministry w/o specific permission from CCC staff. If you stop going to weekly meetings, your "friends" will stop talking to you. They are money freaks.
In fact, CCC is basically the opposite of what you described. There is no system really just meeting organization and there are definitly no ranks, and kicking someone out is counter-productive to CCC's ultimate goal of making disciples of all people in all nations. Every staff member I've ever known has encouraged me to attend church AND be in volved in other ministries. People will miss meetings for other events-college kids are busy-but there is no punishement. And staff workers are humble
Kicking someone out is "counter-productive;" However, CCC does NOT want someone challenging their belief that only those who have a network of people from whom they can extract cash are "worthy" to go on a summer mission project. It IS about the money. Every time you go anywhere, they expect YOU to pay your way, PLUS a little extra for the organization. They fervently try to control who you date, and if you actually marry someone outside the group, you are ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED to leave CCC.
@Me112233 i think you just had a bad experience. i would totally disagree with everything you've said because i found that most ccc people that ive met were very humble, loving, and very understanding. After analyzing ccc for few years i think that their theology and ministry goal is very much biblical, but thats my opinion. i know there are many christians who disagree but i think this happens b/c they either have a bad experience and most of the times misinformed.
