  • GO N CHECKOUT MA CHANNEL BAAAAAYyYEEEEEEEES

  • RIP Sandy west <3

  • ya buddy they sure rocked my 13 yr old world!

  • 1:10 love that picture :D

  • They sure were a bunch of beautiful girls- all of'em.

Cherie, Lita, Joan and Jackie still look mighty fine.

Love the pic at 0:38, lol.

Cherie always looked much sexier in a plain t-shirt than in the infamous corset, imho.

    Thanks for the vid, Jesse!

  • why isnt there any cool and real music like this today? makes me so sad..

  • wow amazing pics cherie and jackie boobie. 1:53 is better than a god.

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

  • Eu amo vocês!E ainda dizem que não há ninguém nem nada insubistituível:VOCÊS SÂO INSUBISTITUÍVEIS!!

    Kisses of Brazil

  • Too bad girl bands don't sound like this today.

  • @pittsky check out The Glycerine Queens. they rock they're an all girl band and they're bringing hard rock back.

  • Did Lita get a tongue lashing from Joan like the rest of the girls?

  • yeah...this band is awesome...

    I love it~!)

  • great job

  • i've watched the biopic! GREAT!!!

  • God God it may have helped if the lead could sing.

  • thanx for the great slide show, loved the pic of them all on the beach with fingers raised!

They were damn good, glad a really nice movie was made. I was in a video store today, and it was playing, and the people watching it were asking when is it out on dvd, and they were told now, and immediately bought it. I agree, with this music, you do not have to thinks about likes or dislikes, you just know! Once a fan, always a fan, and years after, we come back.

  • There is nothing about these women or their band that isn't great. Thanks for the heads up on the personnel.

  • Great collection of photos!! I loved growing up in the 70's and I was a big fan of The Runaways. Early 80's I was a senior in HS and was so thrilled Joan Jett made a come back. We rocked big time to her music. Great memories !!!

  • OMG i would die if they made a runaways rockband/joan jett and the blackhearts. ........if only

  • That was awesome! Been a fan of The Runaways since the '70s and I love these rarely seen photos of the ladies!

  • cherrie currie at 1:28 looks exactly how Taylor Momsen looks now in The Pretty Reckless.

  • this is the original band?

  • @simonenovaes2009 yes, this is, for the most part. the original band was made up of Sandy West(drums), Joan Jett(rythm guitar), Lita ford(lead guitar), and Micki Steele(bass). then Micki left and the used Peggy Foster as bass and Cherie Joined the band. Shortly after Peggy left they got Jackie Fox. Sandy, Joan, Lita, Cherie, and Jackie made the band famous, they are sometimes called the "famous five" (don't quote me on that).

  • This is awesome. I've had a great time reachering the runaways and CherieCurrie and the video was helpful. They are the greatest.

  • they ARE THE BEST .. I LOVE JOAN JETT !!!

  • Jackie Fox turned out to be an ass.

She didn't want anything to do with the movie.

  • @BreahBoo really? How did you know about that. Curious.

  • @cleoflorencio0107 Someone said it on another Runaways video, so I searched it up on google, and it turned out to be true :( In the movie, there was no Jackie.

  • That picture at 0:38 is so awesome, with the ladies all flipping the bird to the camera. Where can I find that picture?

  • @kelseyann4 just type in the runaways n look threw da pix,i hav da pic,lol

  • @MrOscarWild, what you're saying is that when men form a band it's for the music, but when girls do it they're only seeking attention? Did it ever occur to you that the Runaways may simply enjoy playing music?

  • joan jett still the hottest!

  • I would really like to see Lita, Joan, and Cherie reunite again for a Runaways show due to their Runaway movie being out. That would be so cool. Theyd have to get a different drummer due to Sandys death, but still be sweet and just think of all the extra cash they could cash in with.

  • @MrOscarWild WTF are you talking about? The Runawayts could kick ass on 90% of the male bands out there. And they were all under 18! Get a clue, dude!

  • @grejambri HAHAHAHAHA keep dreaming. Any male band is better than these attention seeking bitches.

  • @MrOscarWild are you queer?

  • @MrOscarWild tell me. honestly, are you a member of a band whose ass the Runaways kicked? or a member of the band who didn't get the same success? Cause your judgment seems pretty clouded with so much bitterness. just saying.

  • Great slideshow - the soung sounds good too!

  • I really ENJOYED this! I love The Runaways so this was great, and awesome photos!!! <3 <3

  • I really ENJOYED this! I love The Runaways so this was great, and awesome photos!!! <3 <3

  • nice slideshow. Thx

  • i luv joan o_0

  • Have a cool day :-))

  • I love it

  • Thanks everyone i'm glad you like it!

  • Cool tribute. Thx.

I'm their age & discovered them in '78 when I was 15. Still a fan. Great to hear about the new movie. (Also check out the documentary Edge Play (2002?).)

Just found my long lost Queens of Noise & Live in Japan LPs in a storage box. Thought they'd been sold or thrown out years ago. What a rush.

Even 30+ years later the Runaways are unique. Criticism be damned - they earned their very own legitimate place in rock history. They sure rocked my 15-year-old world!

  • @getRmon i love Edge Play!!! i discovered the runaways about three maybe four years ago. and i'm 18. they are so cool!

  • Comment removed

  • @wweleah all i really care about is if they get the new movie right. if they get all the facts right. once they have the facts right i don't really care who they cast as who.

"yeah yeah yeah!" you fuckin retard.

I'm not wasting time on this

how old are you???! You seem to have a LOT

  • This is my 3 year old's favorite song and group!!! I can't wait to see their movie next year!!!

  • thanks for watching! they've been my favorite for a while too. i know i'm excited to see how well they did on making the movie!

  • Lita ford is pretty cool too but Joan is the best

  • I like Sandy the most

  • Good job.

  • Toronto visual artist and music video director Floria Sigismondi will write and direct a movie about the influential all-female '70s rock 'n' roll group The Runaways. She'll use unpublished memoirs written by Runaways lead singer Cherie Curie as a resource for the drama, which will be titled Neon Angels after the group's song, "Neon Angels On The Road To Ruin." Release date: 2009!

  • It took Lita sooooo long to get hot.

    Pete FS-Boneyard

  • I love it!

  • They´re all superhot.

  • They are the best girl band in rock history and a major influence to the great chick rock stars today. Lita Ford and Joan Jett carved out a career from this band that got them started. A deserved place in the hall of fame undoubtedly.

  • Did anyone else notice how joan jett was the only one not using sexuality in those photos?

  • Yeah, she was so non-chalant and I think that's why she always the hottest. Cause she wasn't trying she just was.

  • i've done a tribute video to them, and it's about 11minutes long, i'll upload it soon to youtube xD you've got pictures i've never seen before :D really great vid

  • GREAT JOB

  • A nice video collage, and some nice memories. Thanks for the pictures of Jackie Fox. My favorite Runaway. I wish I could see more of her on these videos, and you made up for it pretty decently.

  • Started out with Joan, Sandy, and Micki (of the Bangles). Lots of guys collect this band now. The band never got their songs on any LA radio station, but have never been forgotten.

  • KROQ played them all the time

  • Rodney liked them personally of course so he played them. I also remember hearing "You Drive Me Wild" on the old KWEST station, aound 106.3...not sure if that was its fqcy.

  • I recall Frazer Smith and Sandy Beach occasionally played them as well. It was a great station and time!

  • que liindo *____*

  • Very cool Jesse! Dug it.

  • thanks!!

  • The watermarks are distracting. Why did you use photos with them and blurry ones?
