  • God that's so gorgeous and dreamy.

  • Very Cool! My new guitar project. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • this is amazing !!! great job!!

can you please share some tabs??

  • Oh and I should add, amazing use of harmonics! Wow!

  • I practically ditched the entire 8th grade to lay in bed and lsiten to my dad play this on his Steinway piano. He was a concert pianist. You made me cry tonight dude!

  • Look, you can't just throw something like that out there and let it just hang like that. That's one of the most beautiful arrangements of DeBussy I have ever heard. Do you have (or sell) the tabs for it?

  • My god. It's amazing.

  • Skillage tuning your guitar while playing nice very talented.

  • So... You can send me tabs for the awesome, right? :D

  • wow! That was beautiful!

  • Harmonics!!

  • Stunning!

  • that's amazing :) such a beautiful piece and it was perfectly translated to the guitar.

    -121charmed-

  • amazing brother

  • how do you retune so fast and accurately? do you have some Keith banjo tuners on there, or is it just a lot of practice?

  • Outstanding performance.

  • great song and playing...

  • tutorial plzzz

  • ñ.ñ

  • I would be so greatful If you would be so kind and send me score or guitar tab so If this is possible just reply on this comment and I ll send u an email adress

  • great work man

  • Ahh, I love how you used harmonics- good choice for this piece on guitar

  • this is beautiful.

  • Claude Debussy told about the guitar "C'est un clavecin… mais expressif!". This is the proof. Congratulations! This arrangement touched me.

  • this is the best arrangement out there by a wide, wide margin. i was starting to work on my own version in the correct octave like this, but this is better, quite frankly. simply awesome.

  • Beauty!

  • Fantastic :) beautiful I love it, but wish you had a tab for it :( trying to learn this by ear is damn near impossible.

  • at the point where you're good enough to play this song like jazzpsalti you probably don't need sheet music

  • you HAVE done this song justice on guitar. amaziing(:

  • just awesome! EPIC HARMONICS!!! dude i'd like to know if you got a tab to play this song but just like you do. Hope you're well.

  • wow....sounds great...love your variant

  • Sooo... where can I find the guitar tab for this? :S

All I find is Clair de Lune for 2 guitars :(

  • fantastic

  • Best guitar Claire De Lune on youtube!

Really captured the spirit of it. Those harmonics are absolutely beautiful!

  • Who cares if you effed it up in some places!? I wish I could play like that.

  • Amazing.. few mistakes.. but gah! You play guitar so beautifully! :D

  • this is really nice.

  • I wish with all my soul that I could perform as well on guitar as you. I can do some stuff but my capabilities are now in the hands of onlooking and wishing. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Great job man. Absolute props to you.

  • If I had the money, I would pay you to fallow me around providing background music for my life.

  • Amazing :o I just searched for Clair de Lune guitar, even while thinking it wouldnt be possible to play properly. But you freaking did it :D

I would SOO love to see you redo this! This is an old video.

  • This is amazing (:

    Great job (:

  • amazing.. especially with the harmonics.. just amazing!

  • Not only is this arrangment incredible, but the fact that you have to perform on the fly down-tunes and tune-ups on the E-string is simply immense, never mind the amount of artificial harmonics flying about! If there was a tablature for this it would look rediculous. Have you been playing since birth?!

I thought I was an accomplished guitarist but I'd never be able to play this.

    INCREDIBLE. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

  • SPEECHLESS!!!

  • Your crazy how did you did this??

  • Do this world a favor -----> Never die.

  • Very nice rendition of an amazing piece of music

  • beautiful arrangement man!

  • your arrangement is so good

  • tabs

  • @AlexIsonSanders JFGi just fucking google it

  • Love it:)

  • nice

  • In God's name! I wanna mary you boy!

  • In God's name! I wanna mary you boy!

  • wow so beautiful!

  • Really sloppy at the 2:10 mark, offah

  • Love the beginning, gets kinda sloppy at the 1:30 mark.

  • Absolutely magnificent

  • Hey, I really enjoyed this version quite a bit, the harmonics on the tops notes send this version above the rest. You make your imperfections into perfection on this piece, great job. What is your sugestion for nail growth, and are you plucking some of those harmonics in the beginning by the bridge of the guitar or are you doing something with your left hand?

  • absolute awesome

  • wow my friend your absolutely amazing

i wish i was as half as good as you!

  • In my oppinion, you couvered this song for guitar, as good as one possibly can. I admire someone like you, who puts up the effort to do something like this. Bravo!

  • fuck.. i wish i could do that if it wasn't for the harmonics.

  • Peace for you my Friend.

  • This is a brilliant rendition :-) - I loved your harmonics!

  • i'll just say that... i'll die in peace if i learn play guitar on your level :P

  • can you tell us the tabs> my mother really loves this song for her birthday im going to learn it!

  • i acc love you my sister wont let me use her key bord so im gunna learn it on guitar

you have showed me it is possiable

  • heey this is Alexis, on someone elses youtube...It say's you'd put up another arrangement soon...that was april 23 2008...its 2010! lol :)

  • @treestomp222 haha, hey alexis how are you doing? ey well the arrangement I've been working on is for a non cutaway guitar. But unfortunately I haven't figured it out yet, and though this performance isn't great, it's good enough, and besides, I have a good take on my 2006 album Unconditional... I am sure I will do this again though, it was a lot of fun to play at shows for years!

  • That was so amazing, I don't even know what to post.

  • beautiful

  • @ClaireDeva That's a really nice comment !!! You understand exactly my point. When you are faced with the challenge of creating an arrangement of a piece that contains more notes than the guitar is capable, you have to use other techniques to create the same "feeling." So yes, it is weird, to hear a classical arrangement that is *incorrect* in some places, but the "feeling" is correct. I studied this style of arranging from Kazuhito Yamashita records, he is a master of that style.

  • @jazzpsalti I really REALLY hate when people compare an individuals music to others... its like comparing a painting or something! No matter what you play/paint, each person is going to hear something completely different and individual. I think you played it perfect, and if there were any errors....well your the only one that would know because your the Obviously it is not the equivalence of a verbatim, but it was damn good!! hahaha wish i had the talent!

  • Fantastic! Great arrangement and playing!

    --Eric E.

  • @ClaireDeva you have some mistakes in your comment, maybe you shuould think about reading what you type before you post it? your comment didn't make me feel anything inside, like some of the other comments did.

  • FANTASTIC

  • this sounds amazing <3 absolutely stunning. Almost makes ya wanna cry

  • Wow man, you really outdid yourself, clair de lune has always been my ultimate favorite, but first time i hear it on guitar and I must say, you've inspired me.

    Keep doing what you do.

    Cris.

  • looks like nine people missed the "like" button

  • Did you need to study harmony to do this version? By the Way there are some mistakes in some parts, However believe me I can't play even the first 10 seconds of your version. Keep practicing and good luck man!!

  • do you have a tab for this wonderful piece? i would post a video response when i get that good.

  • nice!

  • This is really good; you're really good

  • You're amazing dude. Fucking amazing. VERY good job. Love it! I can play it on the piano, and I play guitar too. But I could never do THIS haha.

  • Schweet! You have SO many elements in place. I bet you could shape this up, just like you planned.

  • @BeauJames59 I actually did shape it up, and then fell out of shape because I don't often play cutaway guitars anymore. And then I did the video. Give the album version a listen!!!

  • @jazzpsalti That's the "classical" challenge, so many elements, not always easy to keep up....I'll give it a listen...

  • Well done.

  • its sooo beautiful!!! *sob!!!

  • I love these people who think this song SHOULDNT be played on guitar.

This guy pretty much makes it clear that it CAN.

    Good job man.

  • God I love this tune. You did a great job. I agree with that other guy; what would it sound like with nylon strings?

  • this is amazing, holy bejeesus! you're very talented

  • amazing :D

  • Awsome! Im a fan :) :)

    Norway

  • Lovely rendition, I wasn't sure at the beginning but you sold me, if you happen to read this, are you in standard tuning, and did you happen to write your arrangement down on sheet music by any chance? I think people would buy it if you put it up somewhere.

  • this is the most beautiful piece of art i have ever seen. Good job!

  • dude ur sick

  • Have you tried this on a nylon string guitar? I'm sure it would add a different dimension to the sound..

  • Why does everyone make such a big deal about him changing one string's tuning during a pause? I'm sure even he would tell you this is not a big deal, simply an alteration born from necessity due to the arrangement. The arrangement is absolutely wonderful though, and the harp harmonics are superbly performed. I'm sure that since this video, you've gotten even better at pulling them off.

  • @thestradiosmiles haha I don't care about those people, they're all probably fat with shitty glasses and food stains on their clothes

  • @thestradiosmiles

I believe he changed the tuning of the 6th string up to D so he can get that RICH, FULL bass of the 6th string (rather than fretting it on a thinner string).

  • I definetly loved this video! I didn't think you messed up, because I didn't hear any mistakes. Thats 1 of my favorites!!! :)

  • wow, this is amazing!

  • Very nice played, I think the guitarlovers will rather listen to this than the pianoversion; but for myself I stick to the pianoversion; With piano you can give alot more feeling to it

  • @JorgeProduct I wouldn't say that. A guitar player better than me might be able to put in more feeling... Let's not diss the guitar itself, but I agree, I like the full original more than my own arrangement.

  • @jazzpsalti you're crazy if you prefer the original version more than your arrangement! I play the guitar, I am not an expert and just because i love classical music and many piano pieces sometims I have the desire to play the piano rather than the guitar. but this video just let me want to run to take the guitar and start to make the fantastic clair de lune you've played wonderfully. i don't know if my english is correct but.... thank you is all i want to say!

  • wow.

  • That's the best I have ever heard for guitar solo! Very Excellent! Great job man!

  • Wow! Fantastic! :-D

  • 0:34

    You sneaky bastard.

  • Amazing

    Your way to use harmonics..

You are really good, Clair de Lune with one guitar.

    You rock man

  • please! I'm 17 and inlove with this song and this arrangement how can i learn this? teach me? a quick video or if you could explain it in a compressed form that wouldn't take up too much of ur time please!!! I would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! Meanwhile, I'll watch this endlessly until i can do it thank you sincerely, Alexis
  • @GraveshiftNGroupies4 yes i want to learn it as well and play it in my roof as the moon shine on me

  • Very nice cover. Great job!

  • you are really great have no words

  • Wow great job, I love it. The guitar adds something a piano can't to a most beautiful tune.

  • awesome... gold finger !

BUT... at 1:35... you play it too fast... really too fast =(... i think, you should play it really slowly at this time...

  • then again, tuning the string down is probably the easiest thing you can do in this entire song lol....this is the best cover on youtube

  • Comment removed

  • haha that's cool how u just drop d in the middle of the song

  • im so impressed, im learning this piece on the piano and its hard enough and i didnt even have to tune while playing. this is really good :)

  • omgg did u just tune your string down during the song?!

  • that was amazingly done

    those harmonics were just great

  • Very well done!

  • Absolutely beautifully. Anybody who isnt convinced that this song cannot be played on solo guitar after watching this video needs to take their head out of their ass.

  • wow.... really luv it...wish i could play like that ;p

  • wow man, terrific job. how long did it take you to learn how to play it to your skill level?

  • Hearing this a just started floating from my desk into another dimension, eres todo un teso!.

  • The Highest form of compliment goes to you! Well done!

  • DO YOU HAVE A TAB FOR THIS?????

Very well done on the harmonics. :)

  • This is one of the most glorious things I've ever heard. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • @Foxsong what a nice thing to say, thanks man

  • what tuning do u start out in? and what tunings are u switching to? looks difficult.

  • Standard to drop D :)

  • @jazzpsalti nice. u made the tuning switch look more difficult than it was. excellent job, i will be looking at this video in a couple weeks to try to learn your style. beautiful song

  • hehe, well it IS hard :) at least for me... maybe not for you!

The tuning switch is actually the easier part though, nailing all the harmonics is the hard part!

  • totally freakin awesome! bravo!

  • I love playing this song on the piano and never thought any other instrument could do the song justice, but I must say I like your arrangement. Total props for all the re-tuning and having the best guitar cover i could find on youtube

  • haha cooooooooooooll!!

  • dat was pretty bad azz. good job!!!

  • Great idea with reverb... never thought that Claire de Lune can be played on guitar (properly). I mean people do play it, but they play some sort of shortcut versions taking some parts away.. 10/10 (:

  • I listened to several guitar versions and yours was the best by far!! Loved it!! What else ya got?!

  • @batman124561 I dunno check out my page!!!!

  • Very Nice And Good....

  • You retune the E string DURING the song? Jesus. Unbelievably good!

  • Excellent ..5 stars from me ..

and .. you were not exaggerating , those harmonics ARE all over the place,,, haha .. i'm gonna have to practice that more.

    wish me luck .. hehe

    cheers

    jeff

  • Look at those fingers go like spider legs

  • This is brilliant - the best guitar arrangement of this piece so far. Please post a version with better sound! Is this on your CD?

  • yes, this is on my 2006 release, "Unconditional." Available in mp3 format on whatever website you like, or iTunes, and also available in hard copy again by the end of the week.

  • beautiful. gorgeous

  • absolutly amazing. best iv seen by an absolute mile

  • @iAmJoJoTong He lives, you survive.

  • pure genius

  • I think this is wonderful! Bravo!

  • Do you have tablatures which i can ANALYSE STUDY AND PRACTISE? (maybe even play it if i get enough time to do so)

  • Btw, this is the best solo arrangement I've seen for a guitar, very well done. And great job with the harmonics, sounded awesome
