I want to go kill a bellweather baby lamb that's only drank mother's milk and see if I can cook like TK. Hmm, doubtful, however, this man really inspires me to push the limits of my own cooking and what I feel is possible to create in a kitchen. The connection to the food and the slow movements in the kitchen. See that's the key to this shit, take your time, any great restaurant I've ever eaten at is not rushed, but slow and methotical.
Perfect show!!! Wrong channel!!! This is real world people talking, real world experience, no sugar coating (Im looking at you Food Network). Im a chef and this speaks to my heart, not that I have pure black malose towards FN but this is real.
The head teacher at my culinary school wasn't overly impressed with The French Laundry. He said it was very very uptight. And several times one or two of them were left without courses while others ate. I sooo wanna eat there though.
Tony needs to visit Vancouver, BC, and try out the 218 flavours of ice cream at La Casa Gelato International Ice Cream House. If he's looking for something exotic, that's the place to be. Forget durian; there's rice flavour, beer, wasabi, even curry ice cream!
He's like a giddy little boy after meeting Thomas Keller isn't he? lol Brilliant. It's amazing how young Tony is in this compared to the latest series of No Reservations.
i know this is an older episode, and Anothony Bourdain has gone on to be a major success , but it is still amazing to see him, the notoriously sarcastic man that he is, humbled by his meeting with his mentor .
Oh yeah, French Laundry, September 2003, awesome dining experience for me. I'd go more often if I live on the west coast. Per Se is good too but I prefer the ambiance of the French Laundry.

Uhm, nature didn't do diddily squat there, buddy. That design is all the power of man and his selective breeding.

yeah, sometimes when an experience is so profound, all you can say is "wow." or as is the case, "he's cool..."
