To all those who are updating nonstop the Runes of Magic game launcher will download and install each update, one after another. The game launcher will close and restart itself automatically between each update.Don’t be surprised or afraid if this happens, it’s not a bug, it’s completely normal

People if you are wonder what is wrong with the 100% and 79% thing, you just be pacient and wait for it to download it just takes awhile

@MsTurkish66 OK FOUND THE ANSWER AND ATTENTION PEOPLE. THE CLIENT PART KEEPS UPDATING BECAUSE THERE ARE A LOT OF VERSIONS TO UPDATE. RUNES OF MAGIC IS TOO LAZY TO BUT THESE UPDATE IN ONE PACK SO WE HAVE TO WAIT A LOT. DON'T WORRY IF IT KEEPS UPDATING ITS NORMAL IT WILL STOP EVENTUALLY DEPENDING ON HOW MANY UPDATE PATCH THEY'VE DONE. (CAPS FOR ATTENITON SORRY)

@Diamondketo for the runes of magic game, do you know how many updates i have to do.. iv waited hours and it just keeps going and going and going.. and i dont know if i should turn off the computer for the night and be able to download from were i left off

@MUSICdisturbedMASTER hmm sorry that information i do not know it depends on how much updates Runes of Magic has been through. Sometimes there is an error that makes you keep downloading (rarely happens) but let it download for few hrs or until ur patience is gone and then report it to Runes of Magic Support. But their support really sucks because its a different website and all the process really annoys me.

looks good, so i downloaded the client. started and then it asked me where to save it. when i select a place to install the game it gives an error:

"insufficient permission to save the corresponding data into the chosen directory"

windows 7 dell xps laptop, intel p 7 etc etc.

Help? :P

@Fballsz Where are you trying to intall the game at? On Windows 7 you often get errors if you try to install games in the default durectory of C/Program Files/ etc. Try installing it in C/Users/Public/Games/Etc... this usually gets rid ofr permission errors

To All Who Are Complaining About Update System

That Is actually the way the game is supposed to update, or "patch." Even though it doesn't reach 100 percent you will see the version number (patch version) go up when it "restarts" the client. I thought it was messed up when I first saw that as well but upon closed inspection that is actually the way it is supposed to work

@tehnyhmshow In vlc media player go to tools, preference, interface settings, set up file associations. then you can select the files you want vlc media player to associate with.

unassociate the file type with VLC Media Player, That is what is causing your problem

this game seems to have the most fucked up dl-ing system an mmo can have. I'm TRYING to dl it right now from the client, the down loader pops up and NOTHING HAPPENS. Even if i somehow do manage to download it, which apparently takes hours upon hours upon hours for some, I have a high chance of the game not even working when Its done. I don't know if the developers are just circle jerking or what, but this games been out for about two years. Fix your shit.

I found iut when i just let it do its thing it went donwloadind downloading and do al kins of other things and after that it shayd 100%

Don't click the exit game button when you think it is doeing nothing just let it go.
