I'm not exactly a Goth myself as I'm too much of a recluse to associate with any social group at all, but my daily wardrobe is pretty much 100% black with red accents, the Vampire Chronicles are very nearly Holy Writ for me, and I LOVE Goth-type music so very much... I tend to get lumped in as one anyway ^_^

No, they aren't "goths", but I've talked with other goths about their favorite Disney movies (come on - everybody has a love/hate relationship with Disney, even goths), and to say the least, most us prefer the darker side of Disney such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Black Cauldron, A Night on Bald Mountain (Fantasia), and The Great Mouse Detective for their gothic/dark/romantic/fantasy atmospheres. So just enjoy and have some fun.
thats a stereotype. Just because they wear black and are evil doesnt mean they are goths, they are villians, and villians are evil, wich kinda makes them wear black. It just wouldnt make sense if they wore bright colors, like white. Would it.
skinny, dressed in black, sadist... those are not "necessary", they just can go along with the person (well, the black clothes thing is important after all), but, tolerance, comprehension and non violence attitude get along better with Goth.
I'm pretty sure that Jafar, Frollo and Malificent aren't "Goths." First off, the Goth lifestyle abhors things like prejudice and sadism, even though they are somewhat tolerant to violence (at least in their entertianment). Secondly, Frollo dresses like that since its the offical garb of the position he holds in France. Jafar is too sadistic to be Goth, he just likes being plain nasty. Same for Malificent. Having an attraction to the darkness isn't the same as being "evil."
Sorry. I just happen to take things like this very seriously, if that wasn't obvious enough. If one was to sterotype a subculture like Goths with the villians and that Goths are therefore evil, even if its meant to be taken lightly, then it wouldn't be to hard for someone to do the same with other subcultures. I myself am not what you would call a "Goth," but for the fact that I DESPISE stereotyping, I wanted to defend the Goth subculture. Sorry if my comment offended you in anyway. Bye.

I gave the title of the book, why? Because I myself can't explain over 1000 pages of Goths, and what they do, how they do it, and why they do it. But, as I said, people are people. We've all got one life to life. I'm happy, I'm content. I'm Goth, i'm not ashamed. I'm the Romantigoth, if you will. And am very proud to be one.
