This song is from one of SCC's best records: declaration. The tour following this disc was phenomenal. One of the very sincerest in the genre of Christian music, Steven has a way of capturing life with a view anchored in hope. He avoids the cliches of much of what is called Christian music so that it reflects a real world reality which doesn't marginalize all of the aspects of living here, now, and nor does it surrender to a "someday" longing. His is music says live, love, and expect.
I am an athiest and I usually make fun of christfags but I shall learn to play this song in honor of a recently deceased christian close to me who's favorite song was this.
Never mind the troll. He doesn't seem to understand that all life is God's and He has the authority to take it away.
Anyway, this is a very hard song to sing and mean. Think about it. You're saying that you're OK with whatever God allows to be thrown at you. And that can be a pretty painful experience. I hope y'all won't just take this as a cool-sounding song but actually think about and see how it applies to our own lives.
Praise be to Jesus and all of his minions on this Earth. Praise be to God who killed over two million people in the bible, when Satan killed only ten.
@hargisP2 I see... so there is one definite meaning to the Bible? I wonder why religious scholars have been at odds with each other almost since the beginning then. No, it seems like you read into the Bible what you want too, and what you come out with is a version at odds with my version. Therefore, in your open minded world, I must be wrong and you must be right.

@TexMurphy01 Another person that doesn't really read the Bible. They read into the Bible what they want it to say. Satan's child.
