i notice the kid never actually hits his head in the video...
According to the manufacturer, the helmets are designed to prevent injury from A FALL of 12 km... and do little to nothing with regard to vehicle impact.
Bottom line: its the choice of the owner of the head... and that isn't government.
@BeeryUSA Wow... I would have thought that most people would understand the obvious context here is speed - given that we're talking about impacts, falls, etc... I take it you fall down alot??
A vehicle impact usually involves a fall. If you don't want to wear a helmet, that's fine by me, but don't go around telling people they're useless when each accident is different. People have been killed in collisions that happened at 5mph - if you think a helmet can't help in such a case, you're only fooling yourself.
@BeeryUSA Don't suppose you've ever actually read the test results for what "help" you get from a bike helmet. People are fooling themselves who think that something designed to help protect your head "from falling four feet onto ground" could do all that much in an impact with a 4,000 pound car travelling at highway speed... but as i also stated: its the choice of the owner of the head to decide, and not government.
2 persons not using a helmet during riding a bike....

I very much doubt that helmets can prevent injury from a fall of 12km. 12km is about 8 miles, LOL.

Hmmm... What were the results of this test? Exactly what is the difference that the helmet makes. Data wise i mean.
