@TheRobberOfZydrate i think it's video quality. the director shot this as a preview of the movie so they could get some money from the production company cuz they wouldn't let them do the movie (the producers of saw, they were like "a musical? fuck that!" they did that twice until saying yes. another reason why the saw movies were dumb.)

Visually it looks so different from the final film. It seems more organic, where as the film is more polished and artificial. I can't say which is definitivley better, this is definitley creepier.

As I understand it, they can't let us see the whole thing, because the actress who plays Shilo can't, won't or didn't sign off on the rights to show her. She's the only character in it who we don't have stills of, so we must assume it's her who is the issue.

The people who made the movie, and the short film, and the stage play (not the same actors & actresses were in all three, except Graverobber, who was also in the original 10 minute opera) were the same people. they made the short film to pitch it to exec's to get money.

this was cut up from the 'repo men: we started this op'ra shit' feature on the dvd, with the new version of 21st century cure dubbed over the top of it. the end part is the only actual soundbyte from the short film.

This clip was legally released. The entire clip cannot legally be released until all the actors are found so they can be paid.
