Wait, what? Are you sure John Lennon is an atheist? I'm not sure that's entirely true... I should know, I'm an atheist, and Let It Be does not sound like an atheist song.
God is a concept,By which we can measure,Our pain,I'll say it again,God is a concept,By which we can measure,Our pain,I don't believe in magic,I don't believe in,I-ching,I don't believe in bible,I don't believe in tarot,I don't believe in Hitler, I don't believe in Jesus,I don't believe in Kennedy,I don't believe in Buddha,I don't believe in mantra,I don't believe in Gita, I don't believe in yoga,I don't believe in kings...

Something like the selling of homosexual Megatron's leads to an ability to be reborn in the world by parts. So, if you yell to loud, yell your head off, literally, yes, you do get a new gay head....just holding down an, "off case". Which implies higher intelligence from god, nobody sells my feet should "off" hurt.
You actually know that agnostic simply means "i don't know". Anyway, it doesn't matter at all that any of these names is tight to the lack of belief in a god or the connection of any statement to them. Even their statements shouldn't be considered as more than a impulse for thinking and forming a world view by your very self. This holds true for both atheism and theism since of what worth is your (dis-)belief if it is not worked by yourself?
Lance Armstrong said if there was a God he would have nuts. When did Armstrong save a baby from a well or get sainthood. Maybe there is a God and he punishes bad people. Riding a bike good doesnt mean you arent a monster in personal life. Maybe Armstrong is dark, very DARK, and God knows this and prevented Armstrong from being able to be the monster he might have been. Just sayin.
Maybe God knows Lance better than Lance...since Lance is throwin out statements and all..
And of course, a lot of these people really have been focused on something other than studying theology, etc, and how can they make pronouncements on religious things? It's like expecting your plumber to do your taxes for you. Dammit, Jim, he's a plumber, not a tax preparer! Oh, and Albert Einstein was a Jew. Remember, he did not believe that God played at dice with the universe.
Thomas Jefferson was a Unitarian. Make no mistake, and go ask any Unitarian about that. He even wrote it into one of his letters, that he believed a time would come in the US when everyone professed the Unitarian faith. One God. Period.
The point of this video is?While all of the people in it achieved much well most of them at least.A lot of them are creepy.Atheism should be about thinking for yourself not a popularity contest,Idiot.
@ca296malta "The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this"."About God,I cannot accept any concept based on the authority of the Church. As long as I can remember,i have resented mass indoctrination.I do not believe in the fear of life,in the fear of death,in blind faith." A Einstein.
I could only imagine what Thomas Paine would think of America in its current form. To see what he help create tried taken over by religious zealots. Imagine how America would be if religion took precedent at its founding. No freedoms scripted with the bill of rights; just hierarchy rule written with false words thousands of years in the past. No proper freedoms, only the freedoms "God" permits. Religious people seem to forget how partial the bible is to basic human rights.
NOT HAVING A RELIGION i.e. not being a Christian, Muslim..... does NOT EQUAL BEING AN ATHEIST! (Most of these people dont have a confession but believe in god. I checked on about 1/3 of them.)
@ElenaEvgenjevna Look at the title: it includes Agnostics. So why the focus on the word Atheist? If you have strong evidence that the people on the list held religious views, please post the evidence.
@shishkabobby He/she changed the title after i asked. Before it was 'famous atheists'. @globalarte Thanks for changing now the title is correct :-) As I said they are not religious but many of them believe in God or are at least agnostics. Its fairly easy to find out. Just google the name of the person + religion and you will find interviews, quotes etc.
@RnSTutorials Yes, the late, great Professor Sagan always referred to himself as an agnostic, rather than an out-and-out atheist. Nevertheless, the fact remains that, throughout his adult life, he was consistently and firmly opposed to organised, God-fearing religions - such as Islam, Judaism and Christianity. In fact, Professor Sagan was probably as strongly opposed to those faiths as Dr Sam Harris is today.
@sobpatrick I don't know about that ... but, from what I understand, Bowie is not an atheist.
That said, I can think of numerous highly successful rock/pop musicians that are atheists: Simon le Bon, Brian Eno, Bob Geldof and Rick Parfitt (to name just four).
In the next 50 years, the belief of God will be down to 10 percent of the world's population, even in the radical middle east. The question is what we will do with ourselves once we as a people arrive at this truth. Will we need eugenics to decrease the over population? With no God, life is Absurd, Camus. Voltaire wrote that if there is no God he would have to be invented. Life without god is going to be very dicy. By 2050, there is to be 10 billion people on earth. I think the Bilderberg
Clara Barton was a Universalist, she never claimed to an atheist; Benjamin Franklin clarified himself as a deist in his 1771 autobiography, although he still considered himself a Christian; Jefferson was inclined toward Deism and the moral philosophy of Christianity.
@BugisLT You know I find it strange how atheists cant believe that an all powerful God is restricted to the laws of physics. Btw false teachers have nothing to do with the true GOD. Can you tell me where in the Bible it says to rape kids? Also if there were no creator we would have no right or wrong because there would be no one to create right or wrong. You cant say what right and wrong is because you dont have that authority to make morals.
@TheNikNaK88 "Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing. But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go." (Judges 19:24-25) Doesn't say the age but is allowing to rape.
"If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silvers, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days." (Deuteronomy 22:28-29)
Plus : Even animals exhibit some morals ( do some research ) and they have no idea about the concept of god or any religion.
@TheNikNaK88 "You know I find it strange how atheists cant believe that an all powerful God is restricted to the laws of physics."
I think you meant to write: "You know I find it strange how atheists CAN believe than an all powerful God is restricted to the laws of physics."
Well, sir/madam, this may come as something of a surprise to you, but atheists do not believe in the existence of an all powerful God (or even a somewhat less than all powerful one, for that matter).
@TheEctomorph God still exists and there is evidence. (finding a lot of the places in the Bible right as they should be like Noahs ark, mt sinai, etc; Witnesses of Jesus' miracles, prophecies being fulfilled, but besides that belief in God is the default position just like you believe your computer has a creator you would automatically believe the world does...unless you didn't WANT to which is a different story)
@TheNikNaK88 [continuing on from previous 'post'.]
Deists - NOT atheists - who believe in the existence of a Supreme Being who never interferes with the laws of physics - that is to say, in a God who never performs miracles on planet Earth, as a means of providing human beings with evidence of His existence.
@TheNikNaK88 {Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT} If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.{Judges 21 }: Go and hide in the vineyards 21 and watch. When the young women of Shiloh come out to join in the dancing, rush from the vineyards and each of you seize one of them to be your wife.(kidnaping for rape ?)
Whoever made this video needs to do some more research. Voltaire was not an atheist and either was Benjamin Franklin, along with a slue of other thinkers that were mentioned in this video.
It seems like you screwed up on all the big thinkers, but I could care less if you were right about the celebrities, so I won't even look into that lol.
@downwiththemaster no, you can't. Atheist means you have no religion watsoever. You believe in no gods, no higher power, and follow science. Saying you can be jewish and Atheist, or Atheist and anything else for that matter, is simply preposterous. Don't try and speak for the Atheist community if you have no idea what you're saying...
@XblackswanXx LOL it means you dont belive in any gods you can still live by a belife system and get your morals from them atleast look up jewish athiesm or hindu athiesm rather then just saying iam wrong
No it doesn't. There are religions that believe there is no God (hence, they are atheists). For example, Satanists and Raelians don't believe in God, but those are still religions. Hell, there are atheists who are not even naturalists (such as some Buddhist and Hindu sects).
I agree with you that you can't be an atheist Jew in a religious sense (that would be a contradiction), but you can be ethnically Jewish and an atheist.
A lot of the people you mentioned are Agnostic and not Atheist. The lack of Certainty doesn't complement the lack of a God. Many of these people have spoken out using the conventional judeo-christian, muslim , etc... models of religion but a lot of them have expressed their own personal thoughts of an uncertainty.
"There is much in the Bible against which every instinct of my being rebels, so much that I regret the necessity which has compelled me to read it through from beginning to end. I do not think that the knowledge which I have gained of its history and sources compensates me for the unpleasant details in has forced upon my attention."Helen Keller
@globalarte Well learning about the cival war would have many unpleasant parts.Learning to be a medical Dr. will have much unpleasentness.Life is full of bad things. What, was she blind or something? She sounds like she may have led a sheltered life.
Now you need to make a follow-up video called "Infamous Christians," and it should include the following immoral people: Jimmy Swaggart, Walker Railey, Jim Bakker, Tammy Faye Bakker, Ted Haggard, Larry Lea, Tony Alamo, Robert Tilton, Peter Popoff, Billy James Hargis, Morris Cerullo, W. V. Grant, Bob Moorehead, Kent Hovind, Lonnie Latham, Gilbert Deya, Earl Paulk, Coy Privette, Joe Barron, George Alan Rekers, Eddie L. Long, Marcus Lamb, Vaughn Reeves, Stephen Green, Albert Odulele, and more......
Umm, Thomas Jefferson was actually a Deist, that's NOT the same as an atheist. That makes me wonder about the rest of the people on this "list". From what I've read Jefferson believed in a God who created the universe, and then abandoned it, assuming no control over life, exerting no influence on natural phenomena, and giving no supernatural revelation, and that sounds about right to me...
Reason why I believe in God and why atheists like R Dawkins are wrong: 1) Science and logic cannot explain everything. 2) What are we as humans compared with nature or the size of the universe, we are nothing compared with nature. Thanks for reading my message.
Ummm... Yeah, Ben Franklin was a deist. Haha. Do your research. (He wasn't, per say, a Christian). This lack of research makes me wonder about the rest of list. #EpicFail
@BugisLT Jesus definitely did exist... There are numerous historical (non-Biblical) accounts of Christ. Just do a google search if you don't believe me.
So we have no physical evidence of his existence and all accounts of Christ where made many decades after his (supposed) death most sources ( and the "records" keepers) are pro religion too biased to be trust. So is plausible...that's it. And zero scientific evidence about the miracles whatsoever.
@globalarte Mark 16:17 says "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues." Jesus is still doing miracles today and I have experienced them first hand. After being extremely sick with an unknown illness for months, Holy Spirit healed me. Tell me that my months of nausea, headaches, and fatigue weren't healed by God himself. No doctor, with all of their chemical- filled medications, could cure me or even find a diagnosis.
Leviticus 26:28 "then in my anger I will be hostile toward you, and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over. 29 You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters"
Matthew 15:3 (jesus support death)
Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’[a] and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death."
So why you went to the doctors in the first place ?
And why is "god 's intervention" the only explanation for your cure ?
Are you an expert in Medicine?Anatomy Chemistry?Pathology?
I don't think you know much about those sciences.
Also doctors in the US generally sucks (they are only interested in selling medicines) even with the best of intentions, they not always have all the answers.
And personal experiences doesn't count as evidence.
Also how many (good) people dies in pain praying everyday.
@globalarte I disagree that personal experience does not count as evidence. It is certainly evidence, but it is a weak form of evidence, being neither objective nor statistically significant.
@globalarte A loving parent does not catch their child doing drugs and just say "it's ok." They give their child the proper punishment. God is the same way, he loves us so much that he sent his pure son (Jesus) to earth, to not only bare the physical pain of resurection, but also the wrath of God The Father for the sin of every man to ever exist. Your sins are forgiven, because Jesus LOVES YOU. The punishment that you deserve, Jesus took for you. Accept him as your savior and you will have life.
@ARobinsonProduction KIling and torture for eternity is a pretty hard punishment coming from a loving father don't you think? And by telling me ( again ) jesus story you are not telling me anything new.Remember...i was a christian for 20 years (+other religions later on).But i'll be grateful and glad if you just answer the question i post to you before.Just straight honest answer.I just seeking the truth here with respect.
I know about the bible and it's stories but that book makes no sense.
@ARobinsonProduction So what you are saying is god loves us soooo much that he tortured his only son and our so called sins are forgiven because said son was forced into a brutal death. That MUST mean they both love us! You know what they call that? Sado-Masochism.
@CutiePants2006 Jesus was God in the flesh. At any time he could have been rescued by lesions of angels. But he didn't because he loves us. It was Jesus alone, by his own will that saved us. Not God forcing his son to die a painful death.
@ARobinsonProduction Forgive me for feeling somewhat nonplussed by your comments. Are you claiming that Jesus Christ was (for a period of about 33 years) God incarnate ... or are you claiming that He was the SON of God? Perhaps you are even claiming (as indeed many Christians have done, in the past) that the Good Jesus was - and indeed still is - BOTH the Son of God and God Himself? But many millions, indeed probably BILLIONS of people
@TheEctomorph Jesus is the son of God the Father. He is God in a different manifestation. God is like a man who can be a husband, a father, and a worker. God is a father, a son, and a Holy Spirit. Jesus is God. A god who is able to manifest in many different ways at one time. My mission is to tell you the good news, that your sins so not matter. Jesus took your sins. It is your choice but i highly recommend a close relationship with God. You can go to Heaven.
tho' it is a question I do not dogmatize upon, having never studied it, and I think it needless to busy myself with it now, when I expect soon an Opportunity of knowing the Truth with less Trouble..." :-)
Benjamin Franklin identified himself as a deist. As about Christianity: "As to Jesus of Nazareth, my Opinion of whom you particularly desire, I think the System of Morals and his Religion, as he left them to us, the best the world ever saw or is likely to see; but I apprehend it has received various corrupt changes, and I have, with most of the present Dissenters in England, some Doubts as to his divinity;
"My problem is that I can't attach myself to a going religion. I keep thinking that between God and me there is a very special understanding. I don't have to go out of my way to reassure Him; we see eye to eye. " Arthur Miller
Hawking does not reject the idea of God. He himself has stated that God may exist, but God does not actively - in his view - seek to effect the rules (of the universe) that he has conceived.
@vonVince Sir: If, as I assume, you are referring to Professor Stephen Hawking ( the renowned Cambridge University astronomer and physicist) may I remind you that earlier this year, the good Professor stated quite categorically that, in his own professional and personal opinion, there is NO WAY that human beings have immortal souls, or survive physical death in any form.
To me, that statement strongly suggests that this great scientist is now an atheist (or, at the very least, a firm

of the paranormal - such as clairvoyance, precognition, psychokinesis, etc.
@Kwizziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about the apparent incompatibility between atheism and belief in the existence of the paranormal.]
human beings survive physical death in some form, are a very rare breed. However - as I have pointed out - they are not unheard of.
With regard to the 20th century atheist philosopher (Professor Broad) who believed in life after death, it is fair to assume that he also believed in the possible existence of other aspects
@Kwizziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about the apparent incompatibility between atheism and belief in the existence of the paranormal]
who have believed in life after death (in some form). A good example of an atheist who came into that category was Professor Broad. He was a 20th century British philosopher of considerable renown, who passed away some years ago. (I cannot recall the good Professor's first name, I am afraid.)
@Kwazziegirls I think it is fair to say that the vast majority of atheists do not believe in the paranormal - if, by "paranormal" you mean things like clairvoyance, precognition, psychokinesis, ghosts and poltergeists. In fact, MOST people (regardless of their views on God and religion) would say - not without some justification - that belief in paranormal/supernatural phenomena is logically incompatible with atheism. That said, there have been a few well-known atheists in history
the school and I loved every moment of it. So anyway if athiests do believe in the paranormal then I would say yes he was an athiest. If they don't then I don't know what to label him other than a wonderful writer and wonderful man who I admire. Sorry for the long messege but you all like proof so I am giving that to you.My kids are also on this account so if you leave messeges please leave out any profanity. I don't mind debating as long as you are nice. Mean messeges will be deleted in my box.
@Kwazziegirls Perhaps Mark Twain's views on God and religion were similar to those of the great 19th century evolutionary biologist, Mr Charles Darwin? From what I understand, Darwin was not an out-and-out atheist - indeed, he always acknowledged that the existence of a God of some sort was a distinct possibility. Nevertheless, he was A FIRM DISBELIEVER IN ORGANISED, GOD-FEARING RELIGIONS, such as Christianity, Judaism and Islam. The same was true of the great 20th century scientist,
@Kwazziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about Mr Mark Twain.]
Professor Albert Einstein. In 1954 - just a year before the end of his fairly long life - the great Einstein wrote: "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration
@Kwazziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about Mr Mark Twain.]
for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."
A couple of years earlier - in '52 - Einstein also wrote: "The idea of a personal God is quite alien to me and seems even naive."
The great scientist who discovered the theory of relativity was not an atheist - he made that clear on a number of occasions during the course of his adult life. However, the fact remains that he did NOT
@TheEctomorph Einstein did, in fact, believe in a supreme creator. His writings are full of his support on this issue. He did not believe in a "personal" God, but please tell me what the difference is between a personal God and a Supreme creator. I think we may be slicing hairs here.
@kingsmen711 Sir: As I have acknowledged many times before (on You Tube discussion boards about the Christian faith), Professor Albert Einstein was not an atheist. He made that clear on a number of occasions during the course of his adult life. However, I do not know whether the great man would have described the impersonal, deistic god in which he believed, as a "Supreme Creator".
It is a pity that Professor Einstein is no longer around. If he were, I would certainly want to ask him
@kingsmen711 [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about the religious views of Professor Albert Einstein.]
whether or not he believed in a Supreme Creator. (What is more, there are a number of other questions about God, religion and the meaning of life which I would have liked to have put to the great man.)
Incidentally, your question: "What, exactly, is the difference (if any) between a personal God and a Supreme Creator?" is a very pertinent and valid one. Personally, I
@Kwazziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about Mr Mark Twain.]
believe in any of the traditional, supernatural doctrines of the Christian religion - such as the Virgin Birth, the miracles of Jesus Christ or The Resurrection. What is more, Professor Einstein was consistently and firmly opposed to organised, God fearing religions, such as Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
I may be wrong, but I believe that the same was true of your distinguished ancestor, Mr Mark Twain.
@TheEctomorph I think you might be right. I just don't know is believing in the paranormal is considered athiest. I am a Christian and also believe in the paranormal. Don't dabble in it but I do believe it.
@Kwazziegirls Well, I would say that, for the most part, atheists do NOT believe in the existence of paranormal phenemona, or in life after death. But, as I said in my earlier 'post' to you, there are/were a few exceptions to this rule. One such (notable) exception was the 20th century British philosopher, Mr Broad. (His first name escapes me, I am afraid.)
With regard to Christians, I think it is probably true to say that the MAJORITY of people who adhere to this religion DO
@Kwazziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about the paranormal]
believe in the existence of paranormal phenomena - if by "paranormal", you mean things like telepathy, precognition, psychokinesis, ghosts and poltergeists. However, there are a significant minority of Christians who do NOT believe in the paranormal. I have no idea as to the EXACT percentage of Christians who are disbelievers in the paranormal, but (from what I have read on the subject) I would imagine that it is
@Kwazziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about the paranormal.]
something in the region of 15 - 20%.
Another point I would make is this: MANY (although NOT ALL) Christians believe that it is wrong and indeed sinful to dabble in the paranormal - even though they believe in the EXISTENCE of such phenomena. What (some people may reasonably ask) does the phrase "dabble in the paranormal" actually mean? Well, I guess that it means different things to
@Kwazziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about the paranormal.]
different people. But if someone asked me the question: "What does the phrase 'Dabbling in the paranormal' mean exactly?", I would reply by saying: "I think it means (among other things) consulting people who CLAIM to be able to contact/communicate with the souls of the dead. These people are generally known as 'mediums' or 'psychics'."
I suppose that it could also be said that people who visit (allegedly)
@Kwazziegirls [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about the paranormal.]
haunted houses, with a view to finding out for themselves whether or not ghosts really exist, are dabbling in the paranormal.
I do hope that you have found my comments and observations on this subject (the paranormal) informative. That said, I must confess that my knowledge of the subject is not extensive, by any means.
Let me take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year.
If you don't believe me I can send you my anscetry tree form anscetry.com. Please let me know. So to answer the question.. I know he was angry with God, questioned his existence, but yet dabbled in the paranormal. I am not an athiest so my question is this, do athiests believe in the paranormal?I am very proud to have some sort of connection with him. When I walk into the library and see him there. I kinda think it's cool that connection was there. I was asked to help with a Mark Twain project at
My grandparents used to complain about MT because of some of his writings. Not only that but MT himself was part of a organization that was very much into the paranormal. You may look it up. It was called Society for Psychical Research. I got that from Wikipedia. The people in Hannibal didn't like this and disapproved of it. My grandma questioned weather he was a christian or not. In fact I think she used to call him a heathen and she was beside herself because he wasn't raised like that.
in a suit and his teeth. The Clemens family attended the Presbterian church on Broadway right next to the Catholic church my family attends now. So the reason I questioned it was because of his christian upbringing. Globbalarte, thanks for the quotes those were actually very helpful. If you want to make sure I am telling the truth you may research the the names Paul Andrew Yount and Clarice Layton Yount. Those were my grandparents. My Moms side was Roy Ambrose Hagan and Agnes Bernice Hagan.
I admire Mark Twain for his writings and his personality. When I read the writings of MT I see a whole lot of my relatives. His attitude, his stubborness, his opinionated ways, so on. That is a typical Hannibal person and that is still true to this day. That being said, I questioned his athienism.. sorry for the mistype Tom but it does happen.... is because in Hannibal, Mo everyone stops what they are doing and they go to church on Sundays. That was the only time I saw my grandpa
I told you I would do the research and I did. I grew up between Wright City Mo and Hannibal Mo. My anscestry is deep within Hannibal and has been since around the early 1800's. Back then the town was really small and if you grew up in a small town you know you always have at least one relative who seems to know everyone. That was my great grandmother. Mollie Layton. My grandparents on both sides of the family would sometimes talk about the Clemens family. The reason I admire Mark Twain so much
I am from Hannibal Mo. I have questions weather or not Mark Twain was an Atheist. I am going to research that. I will get back to you. If you care that is.
@Kwazziegirls "I cannot see how a man of any large degree of humorous perception can ever be religious -- unless he purposely shut the eyes of his mind & keep them shut by force." Mark T."Surely the ass who invented the first religion ought to be the first ass damned."Mark Twain.
@Kwazziegirls "In God We Trust. It is the choicest compliment that has ever been paid us, and the most gratifying to our feelings. It is simple, direct, gracefully phrased; it always sounds well -- In God We Trust. I don't believe it would sound any better if it were true".
-- Mark Twain
"Blasphemy? No, it is not blasphemy. If God is as vast as that, he is above blasphemy; if He is as little as that, He is beneath it".
@Kwazziegirls He was. BTW, there is a spell checker on your computer, but only you can decide which of the spellings of the words that sound like "weather" is right. Please read a bit about Mark Twain and science, religion, grammar. It is fun and, well, educational. I don't wish you anything but the best, but you are in over your head. Read Up!
@tombloom99 It sounds like all you want to do is start a fight and I don't waste my time with people like you. I don't paint myself in corners. EVER. I am a good person and an honest one however I am not the best typist. I am a hospice nurse not a typist. IF I made a mistake, I will tell you or I will defend my stance. I never ever have changed my post to make it sound good. Watch the posts I send about Mark Twain. You don't know what you are talking about.
@Kwazziegirls No I don't want a fight. I said "I don't wish you anything but the best". These are not fighting words. I also said you are in over your head. You are. I don't care if you are MT's offspring, have your read him?
@tombloom99 Again you don't know anything about me. I am not in over my head and I was never related to MT. I never claimed that. My ancestors knew him and I grew up hearing their stories. If I admire a writer it's because I have read his stuff so yes. I have read it. I posted my story above. I am not leaving anymore posts here. I am going back to directing my kids Barbie videos. :)
@globalarte Yep, there ARE all those types of people in the church, also including prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers, thieves, etc., etc. But faith in Christ makes one a "New Creation" (II Cor. 5:17). You have a misunderstanding of Christianity. It's not about what WE do, it's about what HE (Christ) did on the cross ...
@markvilen I was a catholic for 20 years later on i try the mormons and the evangelic...you are no telling me anything new...stop quoting that superstitious/fantastic book .
@markvilen seriously i've try... i had faith in christ and religion .
But seriously i never had any result, any proof of any divine existence.
plus the bible is full of lies , contradictions, and mistakes...an this is the source of your " knowledge" of christ and his life. Please reason with honesty.
@globalarte Well, you should never have put faith in religion. Religion is nonsense. If you had a heartfelt faith in Christ, you would know it and experience Him. You likely had an intellectual belief. Regarding the Bible, it may seem to be conradictory, but that's only because most believers and nonbelievers alike don't understand the difference between the Old and New Covenants.
I do not believe that all of these people are really atheists. For instance, it is a well known fact that Oscar Wilde converted to Catholicism in later life and regarding David Bowie it is well known about the time when he stopped a concert performance to get down on his knees and pray, very sincerely the 'Our Father' prayer.
Most atheists where religious and knows a lot more about the bible and religion than many people that goes to church. We don't believe god exists the bible makes no sense at all.
@globalarte Well I give you your right to your beleif, however doesnt change the fact that There is a God. You will face Him one day. Every knee shall bow Every tounge confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! The Bible makes sence to me and you could sream out loud, however It won't change the fact when your gone....

Something like the selling of homosexual Megatron's leads to an ability to be reborn in the world by parts.

Riding a bike good doesnt mean you arent a monster in personal life. Maybe Armstrong is dark, very DARK, and God knows this and prevented Armstrong from being able to be the monster he might have been. Just sayin.
Maybe God knows Lance better than Lance...since Lance is throwin out statements and all..

Religious people seem to forget how partial the bible is to basic human rights.

whether or not he believed in a Supreme Creator. (What is more, there are a number of other questions about God, religion and the meaning of life which I would have liked to have put to the great man.)
Incidentally, your question: "What, exactly, is the difference (if any) between a personal God and a Supreme Creator?" is a very pertinent and valid one. Personally, I

can't see any difference - in meaning - between those two epithets. But, then, I am not a philosopher or a scientist (much as I wish I was one) !
Let me take this opportunity to wish you All The Best for the New Year.

believe in any of the traditional, supernatural doctrines of the Christian religion - such as the Virgin Birth, the miracles of Jesus Christ or The Resurrection.

Kwazziegirls 2 months ago
@Kwazziegirls Well, I would say that, for the most part, atheists do NOT believe in the existence of paranormal phenemona, or in life after death. But, as I said in my earlier 'post' to you, there are/were a few exceptions to this rule. One such (notable) exception was the 20th century British philosopher, Mr Broad. (His first name escapes me, I am afraid.)
With regard to Christians, I think it is probably true to say that the MAJORITY of people who adhere to this religion DO

believe in the existence of paranormal phenomena - if by "paranormal", you mean things like telepathy, precognition, psychokinesis, ghosts and poltergeists. However, there are a significant minority of Christians who do NOT believe in the paranormal. I have no idea as to the EXACT percentage of Christians who are disbelievers in the paranormal, but (from what I have read on the subject) I would imagine that it is

something in the region of 15 - 20%.
Well, I guess that it means different things to

different people.

@Kwazziegirls "In God We Trust. It is the choicest compliment that has ever been paid us, and the most gratifying to our feelings. It is simple, direct, gracefully phrased; it always sounds well -- In God We Trust. I don't believe it would sound any better if it were true".

Kwazziegirls 2 months ago
@Kwazziegirls No I don't want a fight. I said "I don't wish you anything but the best". These are not fighting words. I also said you are in over your head. You are. I don't care if you are MT's offspring, have your read him?
tombloom99 2 months ago
@tombloom99 Again you don't know anything about me. I am not in over my head and I was never related to MT. I never claimed that. My ancestors knew him and I grew up hearing their stories. If I admire a writer it's because I have read his stuff so yes. I have read it. I posted my story above. I am not leaving anymore posts here. I am going back to directing my kids Barbie videos. :)

@markvilen there are a lot of fools in this video uh ?
Compare with a church: full of criminals from jail, and politicians and fools.
globalarte 2 months ago
@globalarte Yep, there ARE all those types of people in the church, also including prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers, thieves, etc., etc. But faith in Christ makes one a "New Creation" (II Cor. 5:17). You have a misunderstanding of Christianity. It's not about what WE do, it's about what HE (Christ) did on the cross ...

@markvilen I was a catholic for 20 years later on i try the mormons and the evangelic...you are no telling me anything new...stop quoting that superstitious/fantastic book .

@globalarte Great, you tried several different "Religions." Now try Christ ...
markvilen 2 months ago
@markvilen seriously i've try... i had faith in christ and religion .
But seriously i never had any result, any proof of any divine existence.
plus the bible is full of lies , contradictions, and mistakes...an this is the source of your " knowledge" of christ and his life. Please reason with honesty.
globalarte 2 months ago

Some of these people died not knowing Christ. I am so sorry to know this. I will be praying for these people that God will reach them.
