All of Jeff Beck's bands feature top-notch musicians. This is one of my favorite tours of his ( I will be posting some Milan, Italy 1998 soon). I also love the 1995 tour..and 1989. He and Bozzio and Hymas are awesome! ( i recently posted some really good 1995 Tour footage if you want to check it out. Thanks for posting this. I have the video, but never get bored of it. I watch it on here more than the dvd. Thanks again.. JIM Myers.
Am...uh..I might misunderstood, sorry.I'll be carefully from now on...
Again btw, there's locating from place where I live now.I wanna go there but not yet.
Thank you for your praise japanese comment.I live in ...ur...I don't know how to explain my prefecture.if I do, it's...um...tremendously conservation and naturalness.I can't insist there's good place. It's TOYAMA.Do you know it?If you know, incredible!Miracle! But Ithink US is good place than here.LOL.
Holy sh...after seeing Randy Hope Taylor I think I will grab my basses and burn them, why bother? Great groove, wish I could groove as effortlessly as that..
Agreed! In fact, Pino Palladino played in this same tour (I don't know if before or after Randy) and I'm sure he kicked some serious ass with his fretless bass. He probably didn't slap or played funky/groovy as Randy does, but he happens to be my favourite bass player out there, although some would say less "spectacular" (?) than Marcus or Victor...
There's room for everybody, but some dudes just don't get it and can't get enough of comparing all the time.
WOW! They have no need here for artificial smoke, cos it's coming off all their instruments!! Definitely a smokin' performance!!! What a treat to hear that bass solo!
@subersibo I think but he did his duty as a Jeff's partner and at least he's well than Tal who played with jeff now. However I can't interfere in your thought why it might be I don't understand as to Jeff's.If you think Randy is awful bass's player, could you explain to me why?Sorry to you.
@watanuki1207 LOL My Japanese friend, you misunderstood my comment. I didn't say he's awful. He's one of my favorite bass players ever! Let me translate: When we say "BAD-ASS", it is a positive thing. It means he's good...better than good...awesome...super...etc, etc. Peace! Love Japan BTW, I used to play there in Iwakuni and Hiroshima.
@subersibo And it's embrassed thing but I have never known you say Iwakuni's place,,,LOL it's inspite I'm Japanese!!!! mmm...But,I like Jeff than anybody in Japanese!I can insist in convince. And they are BAD-ASS musicians!!!

Wow, so that's how to play the guitar, phew, not many that can beat that line up for sure.

This version is the best I've heard - fast and with a bass, not Jan-synth
mrhosehose 3 years ago
Not that I dislike Jan and his keys - it's just that this song needed different instruments to make it work

Bass work is sick.

does randy use some sort of octave pedal during his solo? cos u can definitely hear the high octave hes playing and then a lower one aswell.
hackhead123 3 years ago
He definitely does, also during the intro.
middlebit 3 years ago
yeah he uses an octave pedal throughout the song. I'm not sure about the slap part though
