I used to really like Bennett Cirf in these vids,but in this one he pissed me off and I don't even like Dorothy.The vid was really funny though!!Arlene is great!
I think Bennett said get on with it because I listened to his oral history things on here and he said that Dorothy used to drag out questions in order to get more air time. He said she always did that and it always drove everyone else crazy.
@Kate8790 bennett is full of crap. when dorothy and john were exchanging puns you could see bennett look irated like she stoled his puns. on his oral history clips he admitted he was a ham so he wanted his time on the air. I bet if the air time was broken over the history of the show he had as much time as dorothy. he could ramble with the best of them to get his airtime.
@doc1917 Yes I saw the oral history by Bennett Cerf and he completely badgers Dorothy to death. This was in 1968 3 years after she died. So she was not alive to defend herself. He says that John Daly never forgave her for telling the press something about John. If you see the clip after her death you can see that John is upset. Also in 1961 when she comes back as a mystery guest he was genuinely telling her to get better and how nice that she was back. Bennett if full of crap sometimes.

It would be darned interesting to know just how close any of the panelists ever got to a real cow, though they did do good work to get as close to the occupation as they did.

At 4:06 doesn't Daly completely gives away that the animal in question is a cow. Up to that point, the panel only knew that it was some type of beef.
