  • I was there in 1994 on the coast gaurd cutter ironwood wlb297, went snowboarding had lots of fun. Would not want to live there. Neat place to visit.

  • My description of Cordova.... I lived there when i was younger. Alot of memories... and yes it is soo depressing. Alot of bad spirits haunting that place and high rate of suicide, even among clergy members and other people like that. BUT it IS very beautiful, but its after living there for long enough you see the real side of it. I can not forget the death of Greg Malugin (rip) when i was in middle school.

  • Yea my uncle is the Pharmacist there now and his wife and him are moving back to Wisconsin in 2 years because it is too depressing

  • i missssss it so

  • just wanted to say thank you i love these vids it makes me homesick for a minute yeah just a minute...

  • My husband used to lived there cause of the USCG and he said that cordova is just depressing

  • Well, that is all a matter of opinion. I have traveled all over the world, even spent a hitch in the USMC in the early 80's, and I have never seen anywhere that is more exciting and full of life than here in Cordova. I first came here moose hunting 23 years ago, and have lived here since.

  • people have different needs. After 30 years I need to get the hec out of here.

  • i used to live there. Grew up there. would make a video of the coast guard housing. i really want to see what it looks like

  • How difficult is it to relocate to Alaska? My guess is that jobs are specialized and tough to come by, would that be accurate?

  • Not too tuff actually. In small towns like Cordova jobs are sometimes hard to come by, especially in the winter. But in and around Anchorage, jobs are plentifull, especially in all phases of the construction trades. Huge construction boom just north of Anchorage in the Palmer/Wasilla area. Send me a message for more info if wanted. Alaska is a real cool place to live!

  • Great vid. I lived in Corova from '88-'90. Makes me miss the place.

  • Today is Iceworm Saturday. I am currently uploading the parade and possibly others. Take a look. It should be available shortly.

  • Thank you for a GREAT tour... you did a very good job. I hope you will do this again in the summer time with the sun shining. It looks like a nice little town. Hopefully in the next film, you can include an interview with MARK STEEN , your most famous resident.

  • I got a good one for you, 4x up the resovior road.

  • a trip down memory lane! More- lake ave to skaters cabin, main st to ski hill, second street to high school, how about the entire chair lift ride.

  • I have been trying to reply for a day now. You sound like you have intimate knowledge of town! A local perhaps?

  • Yep, I was raised in Cordova. Class of 88. Your videos bring back tons of memories. Look forward to the next one.

    Thanks

  • test

  • enjoyed the ride ,now that is my kind of town, have a Merry Christmas and Safe New year..:)

  • I missed this vid. Great stuff! :) More!

  • Cool vid, you should do more. I really enjoy getting to see things I otherwise would not. Keep making them.

  • Thanx. I do plan to do more. I have been waiting for the weather to go back to bieng more winter like. Nothing interesting about side-ways rain!

  • I'd like to see sideways rain, storm shots are cool.
