when i did public speaking, i drank soooooo much water, and made sure my voice was perfect. I was so careful, one would think i was singing in a broadway show; not just talking about one. Oh- and i read unnaturally green and it is great!!!!!! best book ive read in years!!!!

The vaporub people also make a fantastic humidifier that I like to leave on overnight. It's kind of like sleeping in your own private vapo-chamber so it's a real godsend during those dry winter months.

I also find cough drops and super minty gum (Orbit, Stride etc) to be nice little sinus open-uppers. Just make sure you're using sugar free stuff!

@TheWizomaniac It clears out your sinuses of phlegm, bacteria, and other nasty gunk! A lot of times, your throat gets infected because of the nastiness that drips down from your sinuses. So a neti pot kills it at the source.
