Thanks for the video.. But you could've done the fill on a slower tempo.. You´re doing to fast for me :) I'm sorry my bad english :) And one more time thank you for the video it is very helpful!
@bembryc lol my hands are not that fast, but thanks. I listen to songs and play different note values on a pillow. 8th, 16th sextuplets throughout the entire song-even if im tired. I use marching stick sometimes during practice as well.
@JoelMcCoy89 Thats a 16" china trash with a 12" HHX splash upside down. The is an 8 inch parragon splash suspended in the center as well. (alot going on lol)
Dude, make a beat with that lick. A straight up, linear beat. I will be pumped if you upload a video with a linear beat derived from that lick. That would be sweeeet. I'm going to try to do it tomorrow too.
@themuseradiohead No one else would notice because what you are saying doesnt quite fit. If you started it on 1 and add a high hat, you would end up crashing on the "ah" of 2. What I did was subtitute that high hat note with a high tom instead. If you watch the actual lick, you will see that it starts on 4.
I like it bro, but on the flam I'm almost sure the left hand is on the cymbal not the tom. I wen't back and listened to it. Did you just switch it up to taste? I may be wrong.
@1anointedsound I just checked it out again and on the second bass drum hit... the left hand hits the second hi hat too... It still hass a linear sound but he adds that hi hat with the bass drum which gives the groove some continuity. Just thought I'd point it out... It would not be comfortable to pull off unless you have a second set of hat's like he does.
Sands! this is hot! u came A Loooooooooooong way!! lmbo!! haha! but im proud of u bro! u sound real good man.. when i come there we should have a shed session!
the right left foot isn't a triplet - its just a group of 3 as 16th notes. just cos theres 3 notes doesnt make it a triplet. ..... really good none the less :)
I turned the video of aaron spears performing that fill and replayed it like hundred times. But hey, that was before this video ;). Nicely explained!
