@69mrcrash Hi to answer your question Burbot or ling as some people call it do tend to have stronger coloration when they are young and can have coloration anywhere from yellow to black. The coloration fades as the burbot get older so that is why it is odd to see a burbot blue like yours had been

@SammySosa1234567. I am pretty sure this is on Flaming Gorge Res. This reservoir is well known for its lake trout and kokanee fishing, but it was illeagally stocked with burbot a few year back. There is no limit and you must kill the burbot if you catch them.

@coulas09 this is a monofilament leader not a wire one....for less visibility of the line near your bait . this is necessary fot staic lines especially where a fish...esp a ling has lots of time to stare a a big opaque braid main line....it matters.
