the dirt 1, 2 and 3 are special rally what are trying to give player more fun of other disciplines.they have maked something like a "rally of future".in these games u are getting higher and higher, so u are starting to be something like a colin mcrae IN GAMING what is absolutly not normal but if u mind call of duty its a same thing.u are normal solder but then u are ... Captian.If u will play dirt 2 on xbox there are achievments like a "in his footsteps" so thats saying there is something real.

2 major differences:

1. Dirt has CORR (Championship Off Road Racing)

2.Dirt 2 has trucks that run in the Baja 1000, 500, 250 etc.

( Thing is...they're fun......but , it's just like when they put NASCAR in Gran Turismo, it's nothing like the real sport )

@PrimeroSocialismo yeah, i feel that gt5 has the best damage on any game ever but gt5 doesnt use it as much, gt5 is about looking at the cars in such deatail and beauty :P dirt (as i said) really is just for going mad!! its a load of fun :D gt5 has the best graphics etc but they just dont use it as much as they should, maybe future updates will fix that

@PrimeroSocialismo dirt 2 is hard to drive because its off road, i love gt5 more than any other game but ill always play dirt if im after destroying a car on a dirt track. gt5 is a much better game than this hands down but this has epic damage modeling and is great for just messing around! :)

I prefer the physics and car handling of Dirt. The cars feel like they have proper weight. Dirt also has more camera views. Also, it must be noted that's not Dirt on max settings. No crowd in the bleachers.

Besides 2 having better graphics and audio, DiRT one is still a better game in my opinion. DiRT 2 feels too "Americanized" and the whole spirit of European Rally Racing is almost completely lost... Also the cars on DiRT 2 are horribly categorized and almost every car is not a real rally car or has fictional liveries. Seriously, what happened to the Delta S4? The Tacoma Pikes Peak? The Lancia Stratos? C'mon Codemasters, use your common sense if you make a DiRT 3 :/

Well, I have an opinion so don't jump on me... I love DiRT 1 the best because it had more vehicles and was pure, no questions asked rally. And you can't beat racing a Kamaz.

For sheer gameplay, graphics, immersion, and fun - DiRT 2 is the game for that.
