@HarrisonDG I actually saw another police video like this that proves this exact point. The guy had been shot point black in the stomach and noticed this only after jumping back over the counter. In a perfect world no one would need guns, but unfortunately this world isn't perfect. Criminals will not care about gun laws and law abiding citizens will, as a result all of the criminals are armed and our citizens at the mercy of laggy police dispatchers.
@HarrisonDG well, bear in mind that the dispatcher has other things to consider as well, for instance she knows how close cops might be, and the last thing you want when the cops come in on a shooting scene is a gun in your hand. It's hard to tell really since the audio is edited at that point, but I know that as someone who carries every day, one of the things I train for is aftermath, and part of that is securing the firearm before there is a chance that the cops might mistake me for a threat
@HarrisonDG Plus you don't know if the intruder is on PCP or wear body armor(, for whatever reason). He could have been knocked down due to the force of the shot and perfectly able to run a mile.
