Shang Tsung Kombo Challenge Guide

I cant do combo 10. After I kick him in the air, I manage to do down square but I can never reach the remaining hits no matter how fast I act. Help please

For #9 if this helps anyone because it helped me after you do the pro move and the jumping punch when you input the sliding move hoping it does it fast enough.... I forgot what the command was I think down right circle... But anyway press circle twice quickly and it will do it as soon as he hits the floor making youmore consistent

I think it would be really helpful if you people let us hear the smashing sound of the buttons (well I do use a Hori) when doing these videos, because it would be a lot easier to memorise the timings for nasty #9 and such. Haven't got many problems with #10 tbh, it was just another combo as many others, but #9 is killing me... Nevertheless thanks for the effort of doing the video.

@wearethearchers if you use "controller 2", the combo won't save and register with the game. you might complete them, but the game won't save them. make sure your controller is set to 1

I cleared number 7 after x tries, thats funny with MKVSDC som of those kombos that looks easy are often the hardest ones ST number 9 i cleared after only 5 tries so now im working on the last one. Thanks

Ah finally got supreme champion, I already completed the KC with all of the characters but found out Shang Tsung's didn't save so I had to do them all over again, weren't so hard I did al of them by myself except for 9 cause I couldn't connect the last one, thank you very much, couldn't had done it without ya

dude i cant get the 3 punches in on combo 10 man its really frustrating me, after i do the slide kick into elbo he never connects the 3 punches followed by the soul steal,

just borrowed my nephews mk/dc game just had it over 1 week now and have done nearly all kombo challenges just 1 off sonyas and 1 off raidens and then finished,If you like a real challenge try street fighter iv hard challenges now thats got my undies in a twist

You have any additional tips for #9? I can do the promoves just fine, but I'm always just out of range for the last pop-up. Shao Khan hits the ground just before I hit him.

I used batman or someone lighter. Plus, walk a bit foward as Dec states, then up+1

@DevilMayCry129 What I do is jump forward and as soon as you can and meet your opponent at the peak of your jump with a punch and you should land with some time to do the next one. =P

I can't get #10, I can't time the down + [] after the kick pop up with the 3 punches, how long do I wait after the down [] to hit the 3 punches?

I got Shang's last two combos on my first try, believe it or not. It is - in fact - Challenge 5 that I can't beat. No matter how I try, I'm always a split second late. It's odd, because I did this on Wonder Woman's arena (with the water), knowing that if I succeed, the enemy won't make a splash when he falls. Even when I get him before he lands...I don't get a success.

#10 challenge, I did it like 5 times and it's 9 hits every time. Checked and seems like I'm missing hit before pro move, how come?

It should be 5 hits before d+1, but seems like I'm always getting 4.. Any clues?

I'm 2 challenges away from getting them all, this one and Raiden's #9.

really tough to pinpoint the exact timing. I would just learn while your opponent is on the ground and practice d1, 111. When you have figured that timing to make those connect the quickest, try them in the air.

number 9 wasnt too bad once i got the pro move down... number 10 took me a good 30 - 40 mins to get through!! Extremely frustrating. Awesome video!!! Thanks!

I borrowed this game from a friend last friday and I've done 215 out of the 220 kombo challenges, some are easier then others, some really take practice, a few of them take absolute devotion. Shang Tsungs #9 has me talking to my tv and glaring at my controller.

I just had to say I accidentally got #9 just now by inserting an extra kick (down kick) right when I landed from the last punch, and before the last slide. Note that it was near the wall, but stunned the character long enough to finally land that last slide under them!

Everytime you do the pop up move.. walk abit and jump straight hit em in the air and keep repeating that.. that way when u hit em in the air ur opponent doesnt go that far from you.

for #10 I have been practicing for a while now and I just can't seem to juggle my opponent in the air after the downward elbow and then putting the command in for the punches and soul stealer ... any more hints?

Actually the last combo isnt as hard as the 9th one is because.. the 9th one u have to time alot. When u get the pop up move wait for and the elbow what i do is PAUSE the game if i know its half a sec about to hit.. so relax and just press X 3 times then do soul stealer.. not too fast or too slow.. n in order
