  • this song is trippy stoned.

  • zajebiste!!

  • George Benson be blowin purple stuff...

  • @ipvids where can you get them free??? I lovee girl talk!!

  • @Ipvids Thanks! I actually downloaded them that night- I paid for them, but it was optional :) My only *wish* is that they were edited! ;-) I listen to them when I go running- but if they were edited, I would play the songs everywhere! <3 it!

  • @cuencastone I think them being edited would detract from them. What's wrong with uncensored ones?

  • @lpvids I honestly cringe when I hear the swear words, that's all. Also, these beats are so good I would love to share them with my children but would never due to the language content. Do you really think censoring would detract from the songs? There are plenty songs that I always heard edited, and when I heard them uncensored on the album I almost fell of the treadmill bc I had NO idea that's what he was saying! ;-0

  • @cuencastone fag let em listen.. as long as they're taught right you dont have to worry

  • does he have more CD's? I LOVE his mashups!

  • @cuencastone Night Ripper and Feed the Animals are the two like this. His first two albums are a lot different, and not as good imo. But you can download them all free.

  • hey i want this song where can i get it?

  • Anyone know the name of the song where he got the guitar sample at 0:21 ? I know i've heard that before and its driving me crazy !!!!

  • @cuervodka "Breezin'" by George Benson.

  • @VipaGTS Thanks!

  • yes, keep doing this for sure

  • Nice Bro

  • who cares what it's called, it's fantastic.

  • saw him live saturday night. one of his best college shows apparently. i was on stage the whole time. loved it. love him.

  • Playing Big Day Out down in Aus/Nz January 2010

  • A friend of mine got to go see him when she was on foreign exchange in France. I'm so jealous. ;-;

  • oh man... he does a great work!! shadow what?? girl talk is THE MAN!!

  • GO G.T.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think all the DJ footage is hilarious because Girl Talk is a geeky white dude on a laptop. (Who makes you want to rock the fuck out.)

  • what song is the guy playing the flute the very last part of the song from

  • paula abdul - straight up

  • wats song is the guitar part from starting at around :19

  • sounds like gabor szabo - breezin' or george benson - breezin'

  • excellent ear...it is breezin'

  • George Benson - Breezin

  • nope

  • He cites "fair-use" laws and supreme court decisions as his logic for using other artists material. To be honest, a lawsuit would help him more than hurt; he instantly become the face of the Recording Industry's witch hunt on illegal use of music, and gain national attention for it...

  • hey man, technically this is not copy right, aslong as hes not selling this material for profit. He made a remix, like you know a dj would do,.... dj's must be breaking the copyright law all the time, cuz they sure dont have the rights too the music they play and... remix. like this guy.... i dunno if hes selling his remix's tho cuz if he was it would be a different story

  • All of his songs are on cd's that he sells.

  • He's allowed to sample a certain amount of any music he wants.

  • he also puts his cds up for free download

  • not free. it's for what you think it's worth

  • yea a dollar

  • actually i paid 15$ The guys is good and very entertaining in concert. He needs the money to keep going. And if you don't like his music don't go around watching his videos and commenting hater stuff like that.

  • im not...i fuckin love him but im saying alot of people have probably payed cheap for this if they payed at all

  • ya well that's inevitable people will be cheap not thinking about the fact that without money in his pocket means inability to get to concerts and rent facility's to host the concerts

  • You can't blame people for being cheap, after all he payed zilch for the music he remixes to make this money off of... which I don't think is a bad thing. He'll get his money through the concerts, cause he's not the one that rents the facilities. The facilities ask him to come and they do all the advertising, cause half of the fun is dancing to his music in a concert/club scene, so multitudes of people will come

  • I don't even think he can SELL his music officially seeing as he's probably sampled like damn near 1000 songs. He probably has some kinda "donation" scheme working hahaha. I'd give him a few bucks for the great mash ups I've heard for sure though. I'm not as pleased w/ the rest of his stuff as I was with Feed The Animals though.

  • Not so. If GT uses a sample from your song its a good thing, hes pretty big.

  • @djselcius

do you know how much it would cost him to clear these samples? even ONE sample could span 15 people or so cuz rappers tend to sample from big funk bands or sample other samples :S. one song may contain about 150 different people to pay haha. not including the big label suits who get the MOST money but do the least amount of work.

  • What I'm saying is that alot of artists waive fees like that, because of his notoriety, and its not like he is just copying their whole song simple a few seconds.

  • he does concerts?? does he actually play alive?

  • yep look it up hes so good

  • @xforrestfirex where do you go to download his cd's?

  • @xforrestfirex due to copy right, I doubt he has a choice

  • @xforrestfirex thats because he can't make money off a lot of them legally durrrr

  • Wasn't there a law that restricted the use of copyrighted material (maybe just sound clips)over 30 sec?

Honestly, Ive heard many songs with guitar riffs that I think were stolen...at least here its done artfully...

  • There is a revolution going on. Copyright laws are disappaering because of youtube. There is so much violation of the law (on youtube) that its not possible anymore to execute the law and treat everyone the same. A big part of the videos on youtube contain some copyright violation. They would have to controle every video and write every owner. This will take to much time and effort. I`m sorry for my bad english.

  • This is awesome.

He did an interview a few weeks ago on NPR and tried to explain all the legal stuff. I don't think he knows whether it's legal or not since it's only short clips of songs.

  • this shits amazing* loving the mix is sickk as hell keep doin what ya doin im def. diggin it!!

  • i'm feeling naughty at the moment W

  • dude keep making videos theyre sick

  • INSANE!! but im gonna have to agree with the music critics and describe this music as, "a lawsuit waiting to happen."

  • Actually after he started hitting the mainstream many of the bands he had used material from praised him and some of the bands probably even sent him their tracks.

  • or actually... like this is perfectly LEGAL..

  • yeah this is actually just as legal as rap artists using songs in the background to their songs, yet no one seems to make comments about that

  • VERY not true. That music that you refer to as Hip-hop artists using in the backround of their songs (For instance Kanye's 'Diamonds From Sierra Leone') are all LISCENCED and PAID FOR. The tracks that GirlTalk mixes largely, are not. That doesn't detract from the sheer genius of his mixes though.

  • uhh no....

  • well.. to the artists they encourage him to use their music so they dont really get pissed

  • "a lawsuit waiting to happen." in the best possible way

  • yea these arnt paid for. redman just got sued last month over the same shit

  • Yeah, I still don't think it's gonna stop him from doing it. Same with me. I do the same shit. To me it's a game; How long before I get sued...? j/k. Like trACEurace says, "It's sheer genius"...

  • Alright good video except i dont understand the dj scratching... they dont line up to anything...?

  • I don't understand everyone bitching about credit needing to be given to the artists that have been sampled. This has been going on since the early 80's. He's simply sampling newer artists who had been sampling older artists. Why complain about it now?

  • this vid.... sweet

  • yes, for sure you should keep do this! it makes me discover where the samples are from and appreciate a little bit more this mixes which are really awesome !

  • Yeah these videos are awesome!

  • it is called mixing; this is new music.

However, you do point to something important: respect should be delivered to each player involved a e the other artists that got sampled for this.

  • haha my comment was a lol comment about the same u just said he takes a sample (n2boozin) calls it stealing..

and its not new music sampling is around for ages already only the fact is that this guys makes songs from only samples :) thats pretty new

  • It is not mixing it is mashup :-p

  • Okay, I'm confused. Backround=mixing, actual song=mashup? I think I see the distinction.

  • It's pretty simple, if you take two songs and crossfade them together at the same matching BPM (beat per minute) it is called mixing. There are many variations of mixing. Taking multiple samples of different songs and putting them together is considered mash-up. It mainly has to do with how the tracks are played out. Taking the beat from one song and the vocals from another is mash-up. It's really a big confusing circle. :-P I hope that helped you understand a bit more. google it if not

  • @vinyltm

greg gillis is doing way more than just crossfading he mashes more than just two songs at once. . .its like a collage with music. . .

  • @bhdunn yes sir! Who said that? haha, they obviously dont know anything about music.

  • @bhdunn If you actually read my entire comment you would understand i said Greg Gillis is doing mash-up and not mixing. I simply tried to explain the most basic examples of mixing vs mash-up. Please read more carefully next time. Thanks :-)

  • uhhh ever heard of sampling? happens all the fucking time, pay attention to more rap songs.

thanks for putting this up, this is my favorite song of night ripper.

  • am i the only one who noticed that this is the same as night ripper, other than night ripper's first 20 seconds?

  • Girl Talk inspired me to throw maaaany dance parties. I'm looking forward to his next show in RVA on May 1st.

  • whats the first beat at 0:20?

  • the rap was 3 kings by bun.b, ti

  • tight.... nice work

  • man, you should just do the whole album. great videos

  • blinded by the light....

  • What is the higly electronic beat starting at 1:49

  • mannfred mann - blinded by the light :)))

  • the video is a tad bit lagged, but still its kewl.

  • i must be crazy but i think the guitar its from brazilian "pepeu gomes"...AMAZING VIDEO!!!

  • great job on the vid I love girl talk saw them in cali

  • I don't like that you have the qbert clip in there. I don't think there are any qbert clips in the mashup, and girl talk doesn't use tables.

  • Dude, the song is called "That's My DJ." It totally makes sense for it to have clips with tables in it. Hosvos is my boy. Rep to the fullest!

  • ahaha what da ya know ?

  • word, don't talk shit about Girl Talk!

  • tight

  • does anyone know where the guitar bit (comes in at 0:22) is from?

  • Breezin by George Benson baby!!!!

  • yea keep it up these are good.

  • This one in my opinion is much better. Like euphorial said whether you continue doing it or not is up to you but i'm for it :D

  • You know I kinda like this. Whether you should keep doing it or not I don't know, that's up to you. But I do give you positive feedback, I think it's rather cool. ;)
