I heard something quite similar to this whilst walking home one night.One moment there was nothing then a pulsating sound seemingly to come from all around.Like your view,i could not pinpoint where it was coming from! It seemed like it was from the sky,but impossible to tell.I stopped and it lasted about 10 minutes then faded quite quickly.I`am a musician and it inspired me to do a track (on my channel or type` UFO Abduction (music)` ) This was real yet more electronic.A lot of it going on!!!

This is very much like something I heard as a child. I remember waking up to it and walking into the kitchen, it seemed to come from everywhere, I remember telling people about it at the time but I was only 4 so they took no interest. That was around 1970 in the town of Haverhill in Suffolk UK. I never have forgotten it so it made an impression. I find it quite scary to hear this again.

I live in a rural area. fields and fields around me. I have heard this noise late at night going on for 5 or 6 years. Not every night but many times it has woken me up. A droning sound. No airport nearby no traffic noise. quiet nights when there is no wind. I Can't pinpoint it. I have gone to different parts of the house to see if it comes from any specific area, but it doesn't its just a background noise. Some nights I can't get back to sleep because of it.

I heard a repetitive pulsing sound like a car engine idling outside every night. I thought it was electrical goods but I only heard it after 10pm. The pulse would increase in a 10 sec period and decrease in volume in 10 seconds on a cycle. Very irritating pulse that seemed to be go through my head and body. This was the summer of 2011. I live hundred of miles away but I've moved and now I don't hear it.

@celiamae16 For two reasons: 1) There would have been nothing to see on video. It's pitch black where I live, no street lights etc, and 2) The microphone on my video camera would not have picked up the sound as well as what the microphone I used on my laptop picked it up.

I believe this maybe called 'fraking' whereby high pressure water is used underground to fracture rock so as to release trapped gas or minerals.
