I would like to see a return to the scientific progress made in the region that has been not so grand as the Golden Age. The International Islamic University Malaysia showed Islamic nations (OIC member nations) have unfortunately fallen quite far behind in the scientific community, publishing significantly fewer findings, and not making grade among worldwide university rankings.

Hopefully the political situation in the area changes to help fix this.

You just have to read the Quran and make your own conclusions from what it states as well, as well as the behavior of the Prophet and Imams. True, that doesnt qualify as evilness. Furthermore, in Islam you cant say "a prophet, nothing more". Having been a Christian myself, I realize Muslims give much more importance to prophets than Christians do, and it is actually a beautiful common dialect between Islam and Christianity. I suggest you to watch the Saint Mary movie made by Iran's Islamic Republic last year. I guarantee you will find more reasons to be an ally of Muslims than anything else.
