I stole all four items from Ozma, made sure a level 1 Eiko was alive at the end of the battle so she could gain 31 levels, got all of the drops Ozma has to give AND killed Ozma, all of which took 10 minutes. More complicated than a simple kill genius.

I didn't need to. When Amarant went into trance, everyone had plenty of MP. Had Amarant run out of MP, him being in trance would have made up for it. But Ozma was just a few attacks away from defeat at that point anyway, so Amarant didn't need much more MP at that point.
I love FF9 but this is a pretty retarded boss, its like fighting a gigantic marble.

OK so at level 99 Zidane's speed (for Path D) would be 36. So by my math he would have to steal 556 times because: 36 x 556 = 20016.
20016/2 = 10008. 555 steals would not be enough as that would mean Thievery would be doing 9990.

Because I hadn't leveled her up yet. She's in the battle in the first place because of Rebirth Flame, which I didn't end up needing.

but one question: why didnt you use amarant's chakra during his trance? it would have refilled everyones (esp. amarant's) MP well + the HP regen
