Rarely hear records from Hyltons 1925 era. This is an excellent record, but it sounds like Jack Hyltons Kit Kat band rather than the main band. The two bands were very different
do you have duke ellington - oh babe maybe someday? be interesting to here, and where did you get a turntable that plays 78's if you don't mind me asking?
ok thanks is it one with the flip over arm so you can play 78's with one needle and regular microgroove 45 and 33 records with the other or just 78's, and how much was it, just wondering coz I'm thinking about getting a new turntable coz I'm getting a load of annoying static coming throught the speekers with my current one, so yea thanks in advance
It really only plays 33 and 45 speed records, I just speed it up to 78 on the computer. But the other USB turntable you will see in other videos of mine does play in 78 speed, but only after you alter the position of the elastic band to match 78rpm. They both cost me £100 each.
awesome, thanks I'll try it, can't wait to play some of my old stuff like some winnifred atwell and jimmy shand but thats about all I got lol, anyway thanks for the info keep up the great videos

Great record and Band! But:
Isn´t this "Red Hot Henry Brown"?

No... it's "She's Drivin' Me Wild." I have a recording of it with the Georgia Melodians... one of my favorites. It's heavenly.

doesn't it damage the needle or record if you use a microgroove needle on an old 78, anyway thanks might get one for my birthday
sgtelzilcho 3 years ago
Oh no, it's very gentle, the needle is so thin and light weight, it brushes against the record no more than a strand of hair.
