You spend way too much money on mindless stuff. I'm sure alot of the things you buy don't even get used often. For example, there is no need to change you're dishes to match the season. You're throwing away you're money. You should spend you're money wisely. You have all this MAC makeup but yet you look very plain in all you're videos. Cute gift wrap and boxes! I need to make a trip to the Container Store for gift wrap and boxes. I'd love to see a stocking stuffer video. For my daughter, we're going to be getting some Hello Kitty stuff from Cost Plus World Market since they have some cute things. My son will get small Lego kits. You know what I do? I go to Costco and buy one huge roll of shiny silver paper (plain) at Christmas time and it lasts me for years for all occasions. Easy to store one roll of paper and the shiny silver is very neutral. I can add different colors of ribbon, etc. :)

Fun video, Jen. I've always loved doing a gorgeous wrapped gift with thoughts toward who the gift is for. We still wrap most of the gifts on Christmas Eve while watching "It's a Wonderful Life". Love this tradition. Thank you for all your inspiration as always. If you need any holiday video suggestions, maybe a video on gift ideas or how you get your ideas for everyone on your list. That is something I agonize over every year.

this is really random but for a family party i was assigned to make pepermint bark you are seem like you are quite the baker so i need your help. i have researched and found many ways. the classic way seems to be darkk chocolate, white chocolate and then crushed peppermint. Most of my family dosen't like dark chocloate though will it not taste good with milk chocalate. thx

Fun video Jen. Enjoyed seeing all the beautiful things you bought for gift wrapping. Love the way you organize your gifts. I also separate things out into boxes by person; helps me keep things straight. The biggest problem I have is getting a wish list from my family early - I'm still asking now!! How do you get your gift ideas so early??? I listen all year and make notes when I hear something somebody wants but I still never get a complete list early enough.  Please, share your secrets.

@happiehousewife I do the same thing as you...listening and guessing as best you can on what you know about the person. As soon as I get a good idea I write it down. Sometimes I go through several ideas before I settle on one. And some people are more difficult to buy things for than others...

I loved looking at all the great gift wrap we went up to Minneapolis October 30 for my birthday and I finally got to go to the container store. I only bought one roll of paper and it was the vintage snowman my husband saw it and loved it. I bought some of the items to pack cookies in and need to order some more. My husband even liked the store my kids did for a while but then they went to the truck and let me keep shopping. I love decorating for Christmas and look forward to seeing how you do.

For how many people do you buy gifts? How do you come up with good gift ideas? I only buy few gifts for my parents and I stilI have problems figuring out what to get them every year. Do think of a gift budget beforehand or do you just buy gifts that you like and want? And last question, what's the point of stocking stuffers? Why can't you just give the small stuff as normal gifts?

@Kheiik I buy gifts mainly for my family and a few friends. Maybe about 20-25 people in total? I've never counted. It's not easy to come up with gift ideas, but if you listen carefully to people they will often reveal what they like. I keep track of gift ideas as they come to me in a list on my phone. I have a rough budget for each person when it comes to gift spending. Sticking's are a big deal in my family. It's fun!
