One of My dearest friends wrote this song...Thank you David Chamberlain for writing such a wonderful song, and thank you Wayne Brayfield for giving him the inspiration for writing this song. Everytime Wayne sees a friend in public, or answers the phone, "What's going on in your world?"....they still write good songs today, but they are few and far between....
words fail me. he's so handsome in this video and he sings with a gift only a rare few can boast of (sounds as great live in this video as on the radio).i think he's just the greatest country music singer of all time.
Who said Country music is for white people? what the heck i am Asian and i don't see any other music better than country music especially when its sung by this great singer/best of all time
@jenruchito76 Hey, Please don't lump all us white people. There are racists in every color...it doesn't mean they are all that way. I am white and I have mexican cousins (my uncle married a wonderful mexican lady). I love her and my cousins. I think there are bad people and good people of every race and we should judge on the person and not the color of their skin or their religion or their customs
@evansco2 Agreed/..Who said Country music is for white people? what the heck i am Asian and i don't see any other music better than country music.Besides racist are everywhere...but from my experience these racists are always the ones who are ill-educated,frm bad background and self-haters.
@brianallancobb....>Brian, don't give up! The OLD stuff from the 70''s to 90's is the BEST! Check out Wade Hayes,Mark Chesnutt,Tracy Byrd, Joe Diffie and a lot more! I agree, this new stuff is pretty faceless and boring so you have to go back and check out the older stuff. The George Strait stuff from the 80's is brilliant! Don't give up on the genre yet my friend!
If you could wrap this up and put it in a time capsule and have it opened in a hundred years....this is what you would want country music remembered for.
This is vintage footage of legend in his prime.....thank you for posting King George in all of his majesty.
I couldn't agree more! And still today, there is no signs of him slowing down. George Strait is keeping the "country" in country music! Thani you George.
yes George always sends chills through you!

This song made me very briefly a fan of country music.
Since then, only Alan Jackson's "Livin' on Love" and Martina McBride's "My Baby Loves Me" have touched me.
The whole "young country" movement left me cold.
Is there anything else country that's any good?

@jswags
I'm keeping an open mind.
I like that young blonde girl's stuff, what'e her name?
The one selling all the records even though (or maybe because) she'e only nineteen or something like that.
Taylor Swift. "You Belong To Me" belongs to the ages. Not sure why she's country rather than pop except she uses banjos.
But she's the real deal.
