Don´t get me wrong, I like Stratovarius. I saw them on their last tour and absolutely LOVED their lineup.

But its no comparison to Sonata Arctica anymore. Their first album Ecliptica sound like Strato that´s for sure...

But then they´ve created their own unique style which is in fairness simply better.

Really? That´s funny, in my opion Ecliptica is their worst and Unia their 2nd best album (after Reckoning Night). It´s not speed metal anymore like Strato and while I like Strato and Ecliptica I just love their other albums much more. But I think that´s ok, to each his own :-)

All of us here are REAL metalheads. So it goes with saying, that most of us here know Stratovarius and while I agree they are a geat Speed and Power Metal band mostly, I love Sonata Arctica more as a Power Metal band. Just as I love Strato for being a great Speed band.

But without Strato, we would not have the Sonata that we all know and love. And even if you do like one over the other, you can't even compare the two bands with each other because they are in different sub-genres. <3

Tony Kakko canta muy buen, si bien en las canciones en vivo no te suena la voz como en las editadas, es porque las canciones de sonata tienes muchos altos y es muy dificil mantener ese tono por mucho tiempo para un vocalista y de seguro ya debe haber estado cantando otras canciones antes de esa! Sonata fucking rulez!
