Nice video. I've hiked Potash before, but like you, I had to turn back before I could hike to the top successfully; I had to turn back in 2009 because thunderstorms were approaching.
Two years ago I got around 200 feet below the top in unpacked waist deep snow not prepared. Then last winter I couldnt cross the stream because it was to deep to be crossing in 10'f. This year no snow or any problems.
I love the Sandwich Mountain range. Less traffic, more natural. I used to camp off the Kelley trail every May for 4-7 nights. The good ole days... Now I'm restricted to trails that my little girl can handle. lol
Thanks. No Ive never hiked those. Right now im trying to do the 48 4000 foot mountains of New Hampshire. I remember on Views from the top there is some little girl that has climbed all the 48. Start her off small and get her going big. 4-7 nights on the Kelley trail must of been fun. Did you pack all your gear in or camp not far from the beginning?
Yeah, my bro & I used to pack in for the annual Kelley Trail trips. Our camp was only about 2 miles in, but with a weeks worth of supplies, that was plenty long enough. From there we'd do day hikes throughout the Sandwich Range.

Ahhh, haven't been up Potash for many years. Last time I went up there (probably 15 yrs ago) I got stuck in a pretty strong snow squall.
Why 3 attempts to reach the summit?

Wonalancet is one of the 4000 footers (barely).
