I read this 12 years ago in 2nd grade i loved the book so much i kept reading it again and again.

for the christmas party the teacher was passing out a christmas gifts and i didnt take it i just asked her if i could have the book instead. she gave it to me and a christmas gift.i still have it and its been 12 years i never forget that mary gave the little drumer boy drums to play for baby jesus

I loved watching this in the early 70's growing-up; it use to bring tears to my eyes every time. This was my favorite Christmas show. I beleive they took this off the air, is because the little puppets did not look white enough-when the very nationality of people they speak of were not arian (white) people; they were this complexion and middle eastern.

@bladesofglory12 It's so sweet of you to remember your grandpa,sounds like a great man, I was your age when I lost my Grandpa, and I'll never forget the things we got to do together. He loved for me to read the Bible to him in his last hours of his life I remember reading about heaven to him, now I know all these years later that heaven is a reality and I will see him again. Hold on to your good memories of your loved ones and keep your memories in your heart always!!! God bless

Me,my mum and my sister used to watch this every Christmas Eve, but then the channels stopped airing it to show some other crap. Im not saying I'm very religious, but the story of the birthing of Jesus Christ is a story that should be passed on for many more generations, but which many people have forgotten. People just don't care anymore, it's very sad.

I agree. People get so caught up, but i think Santa Claus does have to do with Christmas. He is the Spirit of Christmas. He is happy and loving and just gives to everyone and does not ask for anything in return.

Which has to do with Christ who gave everything to us.

@superksnyd I respect your opinion, but don't agree. Santa takes away from the real meaning of Christmas, but it is done in such a way that makes everyone believe that no harm is intended. When his (Santa's) presence is mentioned, the real message of Christmas is lost.

@Mizabella1234 The story of Jesus Christ, brings life every where it is told. The sad thing is in America, so many who don't won't our traditional values to go away are now the minority. If we join together and speak up maybe our request in movies,songs, tv shows,prayer, whatever the case may be, just maybe we can preserve some traditions, while there is still some hope. I pray little shows like this do stay around, but the real Christmas story lives, and His name is JESUS!!!!!!
