How to do smoky eyes for daytime

What colours do you suggest?

@TheMayLisa Yes, these colors should work fine. You could even opt for richer shades. On deeper skin tones lighter colors appear brighter, so darker, richer shades like ochre yellow, deep orange, burgundy, chocolate brown, black etc. would be perfect on you. Hope this helps! :)

I always use a piece of tissue under the clip to stop the hair from kinking. If I ruin the hair, the hair stylist has to redo it. Eek! An angry hair stylist is never a pretty sight!

Seems like a lot of work for just going out during the day. I don't even spend this much time putting on my regular make up (during the day at least). It does seem like a little much for day time use. Maybe try smokey eye colors that are a bit more subtle and toned down for day light instead of such dark and harsh colors. Maybe it's just me, but I think the colors used were way too dark for day time use, but hey, to each their own I suppose.

@aznxgirlkhmai32 Hold a mirror horizontally at chest height in one hand and hold the mascara wand in the other. Look down into the mirror to apply it. This method will help to prevent you from blinking, so you will be less likely to get mascara on your eyelids. If this doesn't help, try a different mascara. The shape, size and type of brush can influence the ease of application, as can the consistency of the formulation. Read the "How to Apply Mascara" post on my blog for more tips. Thanks! :)

@ponalu123 Practice using lighter shades first and apply them little by little. Take your time when applying your eyeshadow - things go wrong when you rush! Invest in some good brushes - they definitely make things easier. Hope this helps! :)
