  • ...Lately? Where is the "Lately"? the "Lately" is cut of the video!

  • Its 2012 and this jingle is still stuck in my head every time I see a Taurus :)

  • We used to own a white '86 wagon as a winter car, complete with the digital dashboard. It was actually the first car I drove, in and around my old high school parking lot when I was 15. Pretty good car, and IMO better than the 2008 Chevy truck we have now, lol

  • I never heard the entire jingle before untila now, great ad!

  • one of my characters has a 86 ford taurus wagon

  • that car is a future classic, the car that not only saved a nearly bankrupt Ford Motor Company and brought a breath of fresh air to Detroit but also was was a design revolution

  • nice car to drive and ride in, and not too bad reliability wise. Had a 86 sable wagon and it was nice, handled nice, comfortable etc. Then in typical ford fashion they cheapened it out and made an atrocious automatic transmission in 91 where they adapted electronic controls and made it a time bomb.

  • sounds like something from south park

  • That's the late Ernie Anderson doing the VO for this ad. :D Hard to believe it's been 25 years since this car first graced Ford showrooms.... it was revolutionary, in so many ways.

  • Remember when these cars looked like the future?

  • digital dash display, anyone else notice that. That had to be rare in 86'.

  • I have this saved as a favorite on my phone, and I listen to it about 10 times a day! Kind of pathetic, I know, but I love it!

  • Hilarious

  • It sure does have a shape and a feel we have never seen before, and wish to never see again.

  • Message to automakers...bring back wagons..fun to drive and hauling capacity!

  • don't you have this same commercial but with the sedan

  • '

    no thank,,,

i dont like this ford vehicle

  • @bestamerica OMG WHO THE HELL CARES

  • I wish Ford would stop using made in China parts.

  • Interesting...The jingle talks about Ford seeing the way ahead, and yet all we see is the wagon. The minivan was in the process of killing that segment of the market by 1986. Yes, I know a design is locked up at least three years or so ahead of introduction...but it's odd Ford pushed the wagon so hard at first....

  • The more i watch this the more i have to watch this!!!!! i have sen it 10 times in the last 25 minutes, i keep going back to this, and i keep singing this jingle!!! and it is sticking to me, and after about the 7th time i watched this i went on kijiji and started looking for Ford Taurus's from this generation that were for sale and found a 1993 wagon that i am going to see on friday!!! this video just sold me a car Ford stopped making 16 years ago!!! thats great advertising :S lmfao!

  • @Defiant2379 LOL! That's awesome! I'll tell them that the next time they remove one of my videos.

  • @MrClassicAds1980s Update: 1993 Ford Taurus Wagon, LX with 3.8L V6, Leather interior, 198,000km, power everything, $1,000.driving to Mississauga, ON to see it in a few hours ^-^ !!

  • @Defiant2379 hahahaha, yeahhh this commercial is awesome! If I was gonna buy a reasonable car in the 80's, this would be it :D

  • @SwingingSixties911 it's because consumers are smarter and aren't so seduced by catchy ads, so the companies don't bother using too much money

  • The American people love you Henry thanks for being an honest and noble man!

  • ford needs to make more commercials like this....

  • The jingle sounds like it was written in less time than the length of the commercial. But it's still awesome.

  • nice
