Spent 2 years living at 11 Sven Hedin Strasse 1967 thru 1969---Any chance you can take a video and post? If you can I will relate some stories about what happened at that address. Danke
@Zooboo1 I will, as soon as I find time and the weather is good. Oh, and that little police car (at 3:53) is directly in front of THAT address !!!!!! I know it has been always a "strange building", because it was always protected by the police and soldiers. Sure would like to hear some stories !!!!! I will do a video as soon as I can !
Quoting Monty Python---"You lucky, lucky bastard!". Except for the price of petrol, that is! Ha! Very picturesque neighborhood you live in! How can the Polizei be serious in that car? Is that a section of the Wannsee?
@lostyank well I guess this small police car was only for security observations, ha ha, most parts of the video show places between S-Mexikoplatz and U-Krumme Lanke. Thanks for commenting !
@HarveysChannel thanks Harvey, it was not our house though, I lived with my mother and my grantparents in one apartment - but it was big. I did not fix my camera on the bike - I held it in my right hand, ha ha - but I have an idea for my next video. I have a small little table tripod which can hold these small cameras - I have an IXUS 70. This one I can mount somehow to my bike and with the screw I can fix the camera - that should work out fine.
@KaterJames hope you dont mind if I respond in english, ´cause hardly any of my subscribers speaks german. Yeah, after Easter Sunday without my camera I tought it would be nice, to go back and expand this trip a little bit more. I started my trip at 8 a.m. so it was not that crowded. I plan to make some more videos like this if people want to see them, hopefully with an HD camera from my co worker...or I have to buy some. So was it actually the library at Goethestraße with the US flag?
@youtubyfan ok, my english is not very good but i will keep your other subscribers in my mind... In my memories the library house at Goethestraße was bigger but i was a little boy in the early 50th and everything was much bigger than today.
ahh how I miss the forests and warm feeling of going into the bakery. Taking the tours of castles and rivers, going down the as we called it "death hill" around my apartment and falling on my face from holes :D The GREAT OUTDOORS
@MagicalBush Yeah,Matt.....kind of nice here and it´s only like 10 min with my bicylce from my apartment, so after work go go jump in the lake (if it is warm enough!). Good bread and other stuff, thats kind of hard to find in places I have been in the US. Thanks for commenting and see you on Skype!
@youtubyfan "Death hill"...do you have some old footage or picture you want to share with us? - broken bones, missing theeth, fravture ribs or else ha ha
That looks just like where I live, well except for the architecture, cars, landscape and gas prices, haha. There is a nature area near me with bike paths and that is the only similarity. Very beautiful! Now I can stay home this morning lol! Thank you for showing is your local scenery. =)
@Keeneyvlogs you are welcome, but hey John, dont you have to stay at home anyway - there has to be a job done, ha ha I did like the brighter wall color in you last video, to bad I cant tell you the one I have painted in FL
@youtubyfan Yes more work to be done, also it's raining here though it's bright out. The perfect color has been found! I'll show it to you next vlog. Today I must finish the edging and then start on the floor. The brighter color you mentioned looks good on video but it is very yellow, too yellow, lol.

Great video. Thanks for the tour.
I notice you're keeping both sides happy by using the American spelling in the video and the British spelling in the description. :)
