@dhwanitchem when you put manganese dioxide in hydrogen peroxide, the manganese dioxide speeds up the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide and quickly produces oxygen and water vapor would this work the same
Turn a can of air upside down, and spray it. It says not to tilt or tip upside-down because it will let the liquid oxygen out, but be warned it is cold and can give you frostbite if it comes in contact with skin, and if you spray it into a container at room temperature it will bubble into oxygen after a second or more depending on how much you spray out. It seems like an easy thing, but if you want to buy it in large amounts buy it wherever scientist buy their liquid oxygen.
what if you did this with the outcome of hydrogen peroxide and manganese dioxide would the water affect it

@dominick1290 I did not really understand your question. If you can please frame it another way.

Can I use the oxygen obtained from decomposition of Lead Nitrate?
lordanjan1 10 months ago
@lordanjan1 Yes you can use the oxygen from Pb(NO3)2

Does this prove if you lit a match in a chamber of pure oxygen the room would burst into lames.. Like what happened in the beaker just in a room?
Stone16395 1 year ago
@Stone16395 The room wont burst into flames , the match will burn off in a matter of seconds with no trace
Oxygen is a supporter of combustion but no combustable.

Could you do the same but with some manganese ribbon ? would this be brighter than in normal conditions ?
hamstanz 1 year ago
@hamstanz Yes manganese will burn extremely brightly in O2 but i advice you to not see the reaction directly as it may cause some harm to your eyes
dhwanitchem 1 year ago
@dhwanitchem Whoops i meant Magnesium. What was i thinking ?
hamstanz 1 year ago
@dhwanitchem Do you mean magnesium?
manganese is a different element and will not burn.
yellowmetalcyborg 1 year ago
@dhwanitchem its not going to explode is it ?
hamstanz 1 year ago
@hamstanz No not a chance! Its just simple burning
dhwanitchem 1 year ago
@dhwanitchem lol it's magnesium

Why does the solution turn that brown colour?
stratwarrior 1 year ago
@stratwarrior The Solution turns brown because when Potassium permangante reacts with Hydrogen Peroxide it forms brown Manganese dioxide

Yup ill try but i have exams tills next month

okay. do your best!! LOL
yahoorif 2 years ago
cool!! hey, can you make video about mno2?(manganese dioxide)
yahoorif 2 years ago
Yes i can make a video about Manganese (IV) Oxide but can you tell me what topic do you want it on?
