  • @cdncatskinner yea I'm thinking so it makes alot of sense. Either way bed trucks kick ass I love movin rigs u get to see alot of cool stuff. Love your videos too keep em comin

  • (continued) with planets sows cuz they were used on muddy leases playing in the mud. Don't quote me on that though that's just what I was told lol

  • @Rebelswamper2011 That seems about right, I think you were told the truth

  • I was on a move with this commander by lodgepole... The commander was too wide for the sub so we had to grab it with the little bed with the drilling floor to the back. Front tires came 6 feet off the ground we had to get towed around by a cat cuz we couldn't steer lol. Howards also had their 6x8 sow on that move. I was told that technically "sows" are bed trucks with planetaries. Most beds have planetaries now but back in the day smaller beds didn't have planets and they called beds with plane

  • Cool video and long bed truck. :) nice channel

  • Wow that is a monster lol

  • That's a great mobile! Really great.

  • @mrstuperstefan you could park this ANYwhere Stephan...just let em try to make you move

  • Howard's commander rocks! For some reason I thought they were also called "sows"?? Am I crazy?? ....don't answer unless I'm not....LOL

  • @artistfarmer The big bed trucks are sows...the commander was always a commander to me, until i heard them call it a buggy the other day, now I am confused too ;-)

  • @CDNcatskinner well....it's kind of like a big bed truck....and it likes the mud, so I say ...oink, oink.....LOL A buggy....no way....that's too confusing !

  • @CDNcatskinner

I've only ever heard scrapers/earth movers called buggies.

Sows are usually 6x8 and have 14 R24 tires, most that I have seen have a center roll instead of poles

I have yet to see one moving rigs but there is a tracked vehicle also made by foremost called a nodwell

Another great video man! Keep em comin.

  • Great video.

    Kyle

  • Is the commander legal to drive on the road or just off road?

  • @clairevero Its only allowed on off road, it gets hauled to the jobsite

  • That's some bad ass machines you got there, I like the 8x8 pole truck, couldn't make it out if it's a KW C500 or another brand? The off-road winch truck I never seen before. The rig shifts I've been on everything is broken down for highway trucks.

  • @gm16v149 The big bed truck is a C500 I believe, Canadian rig up (there is a difference) The Delta Commander is made by a canadian company called Foremost, although this one I am told has been considerably reinforced and beefed up by the owner

  • heavy load

  • sick!

  • Oh you don't know how much I'd pay to get material like this!

  • @WesternStar4900SA Best day of the job for me...I don't have to do anything but make a nuisance of myself

  • Put all the weight on the wrong end didn't they?

  • @TsmnnDvl5 The way the drill floor is situated and the wellhead underneath this is pretty much the only way it can be demobed, once away from the well it can be loaded from the other end

  • @CDNcatskinner Gotcha, just haven't seen them moved too often. Tks. :)

  • Pretty Sweet Video again Jeff ! Thanks for sharing !

  • @equipmentfan93 Thanks for watching G!

  • Those machines look hard to steer with the front wheels 4 feet off the ground lol... cool vid!

  • @CDNBadass It is a hoot to watch
