Godzilla vs Cloverfield, this sounds like a nerdy pimple faced virgin boys idea so why is there all these comments about this? Its fucki' stupid people they would avoid each other to avoid damage, in nature you have the biggest baddest animals hunting for each other do you? eg; lion vs tiger. Well guys! I doubt it's actually 1000 years old. You can clearly see the creature drop into the ocean at the end of the film during the coney island scene, which was about a month prior to the invasion. It has to be from another planet possibly still young, but old enough to reproduce. Abrams did say it was suffering from seperation anxiety, and that does make sense. Who wouldn't after being dropped into another planet?

How does Clover make Godzilla look like a toothpick? Cloverfield looks pretty damn fragile. Look at those legs! One kick and it's broken! Just cause the monster looks "cooler" doesn't make it stronger. Also the background of Cloverfield's monster is completley flawed and makes no sense

Nope Abbrams said it was thousands of years. It wasn't created by slusho it's supposed to be the ansestor of a whale. If it was only a few years old it wouldn't have so many parasites feeding on it. Abbrams just didn't think the monster's history through enough. It would have made more sense to me if it was from outer space since the thing doesn't look like a whale or any type of aquatic monster

It looks exactly like an evolution of an aquatic monster. Legs would evolve in such a manner to facilitate climbing on the ocean floor due to it's weight and muscle structure, hence the longer legs, the tail could evolve from the rear flipper, and the large mouth is easily an evolution of the type of mouth that a sperm whale has. Also, as for the age and parasites, have you ever been on an ocean liner? Big, warm things attract animals quickly. Only takes a ship a few weeks for it to happen.
