@TheBlackwolf353 They only come when you turn on the power and buy an perk. A good way to know when its a monkey round in solo is buy a perk and wait for 2 rounds have passed. Ex. you're in round 5 and have a perk, they'll be coming on round 7, depending if you bought your perk at the end of the round, then they'll be coming 1 round early. There's a glitch that if you immediately buy a perk at the very end of a round, monkeys won't appear in he match completely (Confirmed on PS3) (Solo Only)

Probably the worst of all the "event rounds" in Black Ops since these little buggers are both ridiculously powerful, small, and can take away your perks which are scattered on the map. Even though they give the max ammo you end up losing at least 1 or 2 perks at later rounds.

@GTA4Kings there are very few traps that a monkey will actually cross (unless it's seeking out a player of course). It's hard to get the teamwork necessary without making a private match party and even then the players have to have good enough weapons to fend off the monkeys. Sure it can be fun if you do have your friends with you, but with random people it just gets irritating when 2/4 of the people get downed during a monkey round.

@GTA4Kings You do know that the thundergun gives you the least amount of points per zombie killed with it right? The raygun gives you just as many points as any other gun and can down multiple zombies in a single shot. The only difference between it and a bullet is that bullets can penetrate multiple zombies and take more shots to kill them, meaning that you spend 30 bullets which translates to 300 points at 10 per bullet hitting each zombie (omitting those hit via penetration).

and the RPK / HK21 for killing zombies + points, if you run out of bullets, make a crawler and do the box till you find the RPK or HK21

@GTA4Kings Yeah, that's the thing though is that the raygun can do everything the zeus cannon can do as well as turn every zombie currently on the map into a crawler (creating a pseudo end of round scenario). Not to mention that A) accidents do happen, but a good group should rarely ever have a downed member B) The Gerscht Device + raygun can make it just as easy to reach allies quickly. The problem with your setup is that at much later rounds, you'll maybe kill 10 zombies with the HK21.

@Jason2743 The bottle is a power up you get for not letting any monkeys touch a perk machine (they try to steal your perks if you dont know) and it will award you any random perk from the map that you dont already have. If the monkeys hurt or took one of your power ups, then all you get is the max ammo.
