  • @james22968 dong, we're not talking about yaman,, we're talking about how SAFE it is dito sa Davao, daming mapuntahan, aus ng mga lugar.. yun yon,, ndi mga investors.Meron din kya kami d2!

  • SANA MAKAPUNTA ANG MGA TAGA DAVAO SA CEBU PRA MAKITA NILA NA NAPAKAYAMAN TALAGA NG CEBU.. KARAMIHAN SA LAHAT NG MGA NEGOSYANTE SA PINAS AY TAGA CEBU.. MARAMING DING NAG E INVEST DIDTO SA CEBU..

  • @james22968 Actually taga Davao ako and kakagaling lng namin sa Cebu Tagbilaran Bohol last January and i must say ang daming resorts doon ang ganda. madami din sky rise buildings bravo sa inyo mga taga Cebu. kaya lng i hope you wont get offended pero ang streets talaga sa Cebu madumi. ang ang mga abandoned buildings medyo hindi napaganda ng local govt. halos sa labas lng ng mga high class hotels and resorts ang mga madumi na streets especially yung malapit sa simbahan.

  • MAS MAYAMAN ANG CEBU..NAPAKAGANDA PA.. THE BEST PA RIN ANG CEBU..

  • @james22968 suya ka?

  • This would be post worthy Kung ang music ay local...

  • their are also many students not from Davao city Studying to our school UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHEASTERN PHILIPPINES(USEP), because of cheaper tuition and it is a State University and it has 2 campuses here in Davao City {Obrero(main campus) and Mintal} why our school is not included.

  • obviously this is an old AVP. Abreeza is not yet included in the list of malls. One thing I noticed is that they include in the promotion the Pearl Farm Resort, its not even located in Davao City but in the Island Garden City of Samal, the island city near Davao City, and its part of Davao del Norte. Another thing, the picture of Mt. Apo shown was taken at Lake Macadac (if i'm not mistaken) which is part of North Cotabato.

  • this video skips over some of the best aspects of Davao City far too quickly, (ie. food, sunshine, festivity and relaxation).

  • is this an official tourism video -- I cannot believe someone was actually paid for it -- the image quality is average at best, the image sources are obviously uncredited with some copyright breaches, the fonts are inconsistent and sometimes illegible with spelling errors, the soundtrack is inappropriate as are the context of many images to Davao City; why historical images? why hospitals in a tourism video (perhaps relevant to visitors from Western Mindanao)? overly long and lacks a ending.

  • the soundtrack to this video -- 'Ode To Joy' composed by Ludwig van Beethoven, and which is the National Anthem of the European Union -- how does that fit with the image, culture or history of Davao City, please explain?!?

  • Why compare? Davao has a charm of its own different from that of other cities in the Philippines. :) We should not bring them down just to promote Davao's tourism. Instead, we should build up the entire country's tourism. Develop what needs to be developed. Improve what needs to be improved. No to crabmentality. :)

  • ...go back to their homes and help the local economies there. That way all regions progress. Sounds good? Good :)

  • I grew up in Manila, and it's good to see the other big cities back home progressing. inter-city competition is good for progress, but I don't like trash-talking. I'm actually glad that Manila is able to sustain the surge of people from the other regions, gives the other cities a chance to work on what they need to. Yes manila is full of squatters, but it's gwtting by. Maybe someday when the other regional cities have progressed enough, the same people who left them will find it worthwhile to...

  • namiss ko ang bayan ko...hayz 2 more years pa bago ko masilayan at ganda ng davao.

  • I stayed in Davao city for a month...it was the best month of my life....G-mall, Victoria Plaza, Peoples Park, Jacks Ridge, Paradise island , Aldevenko, Basti's brew , Casa Ruby, lanang Executive Homes , Mister Donut , Lechon , Torta, puto and cocoa, bieko , buko Juice , Adobao , Davao city Museum ,Jeepney's, tricycles, JollieBee, Chow king , Davao beach , agdao , wet market Fresh Tuna , execise at Victoria mall at 5am , Davao City's most beautiful girl....Weng Tibayan Villegas...I love you all

  • i swear, victoria plaza needs a MAJOR MAKE-OVER!!!

  • @scorpioninpink

that's not the way business is done in Davao at least, maybe it's the Filipino way I'm not sure -- A. build a mall/hall/hotel/restaurant/airport/public space/etc.; B. customers grow for a few years, C. build another slightly bigger one; D. let the old one decay, moulder and disintegrate, go back to B.

  • peaceful mind

  • Go Davao and progress...love it a nice place to live and explore.

  • hi. im planning to relocate here in davao. where can i rent affordable apartments thre near downtown? tnx! where is the japanese district? is there lots of japanese there? tnx!

  • @lae23churvaness My wife is from Davao the only thing that sucks about coming to Davao is the fact you have to go through Manila to get there I absolutely can't stand Manila.

  • @George0025

depends on which airline you're flying, a couple, such as Silk Air fly to Davao direct

  • @parisborjie hahhaah you didn't get the right point on this... no one is claiming, it is the right way to invite people and explore. .. the ads is telling you that you can go in davao city and into other places around.. hala cge gikan manila, landing sa samal diretso o sa tagum... pangetaa ang pearl farm ug paradise island.. cge gow.. hahahah "non-sense" sayang kaayu emung pagmahal sa kaugalengung yuta..wala sa tama.. batasan sa pinoy, gamay nga bahin, ikasubu.... • I LOVE DAVAO CITY.FORVER..............

    CEBU!

    CEBU!

  • the beaches showed are not in davao but are found in samal city, an island at the southern part of davao gulf...davao city tourism should make a stop in claiming samal city's tourist spots...credits should go to the latter!

  • @parisborjie the easiest way to visit samal island is way from davao city as their entry point, so who's owning? (especially if you are from other places and landed in davao international airport) and even those resort owners are agreed that they collide the ads with the davao city tourism as part of sharing what they are having.

  • @wofwof14 i couldnt agree mor.though davao serves as d entry point 4 tourists 2 visit samal,we stil cudnt say it s ok/justifiable 4 d city of davao 2 hav a claim on d resorts located n d island.dvo doesnt serve as an entry point 4 samal alone but also 2 other cities n d southern part of mindanao.ex.d easiest way 2 reach tagum s through dvo international airport, however cud u say dvo has d right 2 use tagum's tourism 4 it's own sake as a return 4 providing tourists d easiest entry point 2 tagum?

  • @parisborjie it's not the Question of owning..lOl, never did. the ads was saying what you can see in Davao if you visit. its a tour. try to make an ads of Tagum that will give me the easiest way to Samal island beaches... ok give me the route.. as what i've said. this is an ads ,sharing what you can see in and around Davao... besides, TAGUM IS PART OF DAVAO AS A REGION... so think about that. you don't have to question who owns and not..... this is to showcase Davao and explore other side.

  • @wofwof14 actually it is.This might be beyond the knowledge of others outside the island but Samalenyos want independence from the shadows of Davao City.People in d island believe that Samal can stand on its own w/o asking any help from Davao City 2 promote its tourism. With d resources d island has it is possible.Samalenyos want Samal& its resources 2 b recognized as a separate independent tourist attraction in the country. And 1 of d many steps that has to be made is 2 correct ads such as this.

  • @parisborjie hi, even if we will erase davao from samal, it will still be indeniable that without davao city, samal cannot sustain the high percentage of tourists entering the island...

  • @parisborjie we should be thankful that davao city is giving importance to those areas [technically not part of the city] as an important tourist destination in which enters davao city before it reaches those non-davao city tourist spots. If you cannot agree to that reality then you should have to request your city mayor to build their own airports, wharf etc etc in order for the city not to endorse anymore IGACOS.

  • @wofwof14 -- clearly that is simply a dirty trick, not surprising for most of the most appealing aspect of Davao for tourists are not to be found within Davao City -- the simple solution is to retitle the video 'Davao Region'

  • @sakitakungtyan if that's d case then y only include resorts from samal?Y not also put d tourists' sites of other cities hu r dependent on davao's airport too?samal as part of davao city?Just n case u dont know,in 1998,samal was formally amended as a NEW CITY.It's official name since then on is Island Garden CITY of Samal. How then 8 becomes part of Davao city?& FYI, davao oriental, del norte, del sur r provinces&definitely not just part of Davao City.

  • @sakitakungtyan just because the wharfs/ports are located in davao city doesn't mean Samal City is already part of Davao City...anyway, obviously u dont know anything about things between Island Garden CITY of Samal and Davao City. You don't even know people's means of transportation to reach samal from davao and vice versa. We don't transport or travel through "bangka" but by ferries and launches (large MOTORBOATS). Seek more knowledge before you react or comment....

  • @parisborjie ..come to visit Davao City and you can SEE the nice places around... as what to be said.. SEE,, by tourist.. this is to invite people to come.. It's up to the visitor to explore further,, in this way, it can also help thy neighbors around. it is not always that everything and all should be explain.... the ads itself is telling the viewer to explore further... besides.. no one is telling bad about Samal that they cannot stand on their own?? this is a toursim ad. don't go beyond lines
