Lufthansa are OK however, they are not as good as KLM and they are also more expensive than KLM, Turkish Airlines and even BA Frankfurt is a great airport too. Schiphol is the best hub airport in Europe in my small opinion more places you can have a comfortable sleep that you'd have to pay for, in many airports in England.

The staff in Frankfurt are DREADFUL and the most unfriendly and rude people I have ever met or want to meet. I avoid Lufthansa now as there are better alternatives these days. It would be nice to see more proper Germans working for Lufthansa again.

Lufthansa is a great airliner. BUT: they should invest a bit more in training their crew to be more friendly. Lately I've been flying with Qatar, Thai, Gulf Air, Turkish and Emirates (and a few more) and there is day and night difference. Maybe because the Lufthansa crew is older (in age) they forgot the words SMILE. (said by a Frequent Flyer member of Lufthansa)

What I wrote about LH was generaly meant. Sure there are some friendly crew members as well in LH. But on my last 5 flights I never saw 1 of them smiling unfortunately. I am convinced it's because of their age. They are in average much older then most of the crew members who are working for new born airlines and probably most of them have a secure job. So, why smile? LH will keep them anyway. But it is a pity!

It's b/c Germans just aren't friendly, they are direct. Great quality, but direct no-nonsense people.

If you want to become a flight attendant for Lufthansa, you have to have at least a Realschul-Abschluss, and speak I think 3 languages?

I cringe every time I hear a continental stewardess try to speak German... It's so bad.
