the Kaaba is the house of God on earth, it's a cubic house, built the first time by Adam, rebuilt by prophet Abraham and his son prophet Ishmael (the father of Arabs), Arabs during the ages started to worship icons and some gods alongside God, until the last prophet Mohammad cleaned it of those false gods and icons, and what we have now inside the Kaaba is perfums (the hanged things), and Quranic verses everywhere, and we have nothing to do with Mohammad's picture !!!

Muhammad s,a,w himself removed the idols from this room, so that the people will worship only one true God. This box is only our prayer direction, symbol of Muslim unity, nothing more.
