It's really sad that people are throwing random objects into this natural wonder, essentially clogging up its vent and clouding its glory. People who want to throw things into this pond, like its a frickin' artificial wish fountain, are stupid and depriving others the chance to see these natural phenomena at their full potential.

@iReportTurds I read that the average water temperature in the Morning Glory Pool is around 172 degrees Fahrenheit, so you may want to really think twice about diving in there!

No, but you'll get in trouble for doing something illegal (throwing stuff into the pool). In the 1960s, the bacteria living in it made it blue like a morning glory flower (hence the name), but now it's yellow because all the stuff people threw in killed those bacteria and replaced them with others which color it yellow.

I wouldn't say instantly but pretty quick, Id imagine the sulfur and minerals in the water wouldn't taste to good.

@moderjoker Technically, no. At 172 degrees Fahrenheit, while the water will scald you just about instantly, it is nowhere near hot enough to cook a chicken. A chicken takes oven temperatures; between 400 and 475 degrees Fahrenheit, to cook.
