What a treasure....there are few funny comedians that have class, and Jackie was one of them.
I don't care for the modern vulgar, swearing trash that pass themselves off as comedians. GIVE ME JACKIE OR BOB, OR GENE ANY DAY!

Jackie was always an admirer of the silent movie comedians such as Keaton, Lloyd and of course Charlie Chaplin. He proves with this film his ability on par with those mentioned. WHY didn't this at least receive an Academy Award nomination???
Politics no doubt and that he wasn't on the level of a Brando or some other "serious" actor. A GREAT FILM THAT SHOULD BE SHOWN AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR ON TCM!

I haven't seen this movie in years ... almost 30 years I guess. It's always been a favorite but VERY hard to find on DVD. Believe me, I'm trying. Thank you ever so much for posting it up.

This movie made a strong impression on me when I first saw it on TV as a kid. The one scene that I never forgot was the merry-go-round.
Rarely has a movie made me cry so much! Gleason was a pathos genius! Thanks for uploading it!

The most amazing actor ever. I cannot understand why this movie was not more popular during it's time. Looked for it on Netflix and could not find it .. I would love to find out how i could find a copy.
