@Tigav Because they were mad.....and high on cocaine........they kind of exhausted themselves I think and band members left, thats why Standing on the Shoulder of Giants suffered...it had no band sound to it.

They just wore themselves out and because of that the music suffered....and nothing really comes close to the vibe they had with the first three albums, after that they went to bed and only got up for lunch....what can you say.

@Tigav Well, its the truth, you won't find a better explanation than that......and I have to admit Don't Beleive the Truth was a real let down.....many people thought that album was good but I thought it was really just nothing......not even close to Heathen Chemistry.

The whole vibe of the band went when Dave Sardy showed up, he made them sound like pop corn, and they made the records in LA so that would explain it, in Oasis's case anyway.

Liam doesn't rehearse? Thats ridiculous mate, of course he does. Every musician does. You think he just turns up at gigs and doesn't do any legwork beforehand? Thats a recipe for disaster, and something a consummate professional like Noel wouldn't allow.

If you don't believe me, don't take my word for it. Just trawl through the net for bootlegs of their rehearsals with Liam present. There are also a crapload of videos and images of him practicing with the band.

He does rehearse but usually in the lead up to a tour to get him in the swing and to get the set sorted but whilst on tour he actually very rarely rehearses. Soundchecks too are done entirely by the rest of the band. He doesnt do them to preserve his voice.

And by the way - how fucking good are the videos from this "live rehearsal" thing. AMAZING!

Thats how just about every band does it, I don't know of any band that takes time out to rehearse when they're on tour. They don't need to, because they're tight enough before they embark on the tour. After that, the gigs keeps them tight. . As for Liam not sound checking, where are you people hearing these stories? He DOES sound check, he HAS to. Knowing Liam, probably not more than one song, but he still needs to do it. The Sound Engineer can't just magic his balance for him.

i think its basicaly just a bunch of crunchy marshall amps on the origanal. but hear he is using a Vox AC30, Fender blues Junior and an old Fender Showman/Bandmaster. He also uses a pete cornish ss1 i think it is but they cost about £300 which is a hell of alot for a small fuzz box. lol

anyhow hope that helped a little, might be a bit inacurate. and theres probly some stuff i have missed.
