"The make-ups were really a part of the 80s music scene. When they recorded "The Dawn Live" with Atsushi Matsuura on guitar(Patay na si Teddy at that time) they covered songs from foreign artists. "Close To Me" & "Killing An Arab" by The Cure and "She Sells Sanctuary" by The Cult. That's the time that i realized na ung 1st two albums ng The Dawn(w/ Teddy) na plagi q pnakkingan sa casette player ng nanay q ay musically-inspired ng 2 foreign act na i2. LONG LIVE THE DAWN !!!...

teddy isnt that good when u compare him in today's pinoy guitar players.but at that time in the 80's, there wasnt anybody as good as him. if u can see in his tapping technique and his solo performance here, he wasnt playing a solo run.he was just patching up solos .what i mean is that it wasnt a methodical solo run. it was a solo from this song and this song and this song and patching them together here. and he doesnt even play it clean.but he was a very good person.

- The Dawn is the last Rock Band in the Philippines. Ever since Theodore's gone, the music scene here hasn't gone much into great feats of musicality. If only Teddy is alive today, things would have been better in our rock music today. Teddy is the last in the chain of great guitarists here. I wish Philippines will spawn not just bunch of hyper-active string-shredders but musicians as well. Just like Teddy approached music with his guitar skills.

He may not be as good pinoy guitar player nowadays , but it is his vision and his personality in music makes him the "most influential pinoy guitar player in the history of pinoy rock bands... especially on his time. He has this total package, especially when you watch him perform "LIVE on the stage". A great loss to the music industry.
