Your are welcomed! The Staedtler pencil is certainly designed and marketed for children, so that explains its whimsical design.

I'm not to thrilled over the Staedtler mechanical pencil, however. I think for young children it would be appropriate, but for adults a bit too whimsical with it's bulky barrel.
