  • is it just me or does your voice sound like Natalie Portman's?

  • Nice recipe, thanks After I made the curd and it cooled I folded some of it through whipped fresh cream and made a lemon flavoured mousse that is unreal as a filling in vanilla sponge cakes or swiss rolls

  • Very helpful! Thank you !

  • Thanks! I had no idea what lemon curd was but need it for these triple lemon cupcakes I'm making which call for them to be filled with lemon curd and cool whip mixed together. Can't wait to try them out now!

  • Looks like my previous comment didn't post... Just wanted to let you know I made this recipe tonight and it came out perfect just like yours :)) It's delicious too! Thanks so much for posting...

  • mine turned out with a nasty egg aftertaste (TWO BATCHES) :( had me feeling sick for the rest of the day! what'd I do wrong??

  • @MySoulArt20 You need to temper the eggs before adding it to the hot mixture, else you make scrambled eggs. First mix everything withOUT the eggs over the double boiler til the sugar's dissolved and the butter's melted. While waiting for that, crack and beat the eggs in a bowl (not the boiler). Then ladle the hot mixture from the boiler to the bowl. Add half the hot mixture slowly to slowly heat the eggs up. Then pour everything back to the boiler. Over the 15min of boiling, stir constantly. gl!

  • My son loved this. His new favorite. I am not that into lemon but man it's good and easy. Easy enough for an eleven year old to make with assistance. I didn't have enough lemon since I was making a few other lemon jam recipes so I mixed it with orange zest. Still came out great.

  • why dont you just like,, not put any zest in at the start lol

  • @KaspaMaples Uh, because without the zest, you dont get as much lemon flavor .

  • Scone....Scone scone scone scone. YES PLEASE SCONE.

  • i made this last week and its delicious.. thanks alot for the recipe....

  • Love it, will give it a try. You made it look so easy. Did you separate your eggs?

    bee

  • Do you have a download recipe for easy peasy lemon curd if so I would like to file it ?

  • Thank you so much for making this video!! It came out perfect and delicious:)

  • thank you. This is a perfect lemon sauce to use over my Gingerbread.

  • i thought that the glass isnt supposed to touch the water?? and why does mine not taste as sweet as the supermarket one, can i still add more sugar at this point (already in canister and in fridge)

  • I'd add one thing (otherwise, the video was excellent!): For people who don't cook, how would they know what lemon zest is and how to do it? I had to look in a cookbook to find out! Thanks!

  • Just a tip (: When you are cooking the curd o.o make sure you're stiring often or else those little bits of eggs will form D:

  • thx alot =)...easy peasy...xD

  • Could you double up on the quantity...looks yummy, cant wait to cook it ! A easy peasy marmalade video would be nice ?

  • You will find that if you keep slowly stirring the mixture for that 15 mins instead of letting it sit there, you shouldnt have any egg to worry about at all being cooked at the bottom of your strainer.

  • Wonderful.

I made it this afternoon and it turned out great :-)

    Thanks

  • Thanks so much for this! i have made it several times similar to this way, and i absolutely HATED the bits of lemon zest in there! i never thought about pouring it into a strainer

  • @Dudeifwhat You're welcome! I'm quite surprised how many views this has had, I might have to make up some new videos! :)

  • hhhmmm, could orange be used?

  • @spankses I'm quite certain that orange could be used, though I've not tried it! :)

  • @spankses

you can use any citrus fruit really .. also apple, mango etc.

  • @spankses yea its called orange curd and its AWSOME!

  • Lovely. Will try that tonight. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thank you for making this video, before i saw it i had no idea how to make lemon curd. I plan on making some cupcakes that calls for lemon curd and can't wait to taste them now that i understand how to make it.

  • this is a great lemon curd recipe and demonstration, thank you.

  • can you cut the recipe in half? how woul;d you do that?

  • @hufe123456789

hrm. I've not done it in half before, but I'm sure you could. Just cut everything in half- as for the eggs, I'd go ahead and try it using maybe 2 small eggs instead of 1. I'd love to know if it turns out fine halved! :)

  • Great recipe! I'd love to give it a go. About how long do you think that would keep in the fridge? :)

  • I've kept lemon curd in the fridge for up to a couple weeks. I think as long as you keep it in a sealed container it should be fine!

  • Thank you. :)

  • it is stillllllllll good i like it yea!!!!!!!!!!
