Your comment made me a little curious. So I went to check a couple of forums that specialized in the 3800 motor to see what I can find. Apparently all the supercharged ones had the HD. They had to for the added hp/torque that the blower gives, which could have been problematic to the HT-65e.

I agree, very rare tranny but also a very rare engine to coupled to an Olds. Not many of these LSS's came with them. Thanks for replying

Its a nice car but your low 14 second 1/4 mile is WAY off.

you would be lucky to see HIGH 14's at the drag strip. more then likely you would be knocking out mid 15's.

probably from the non supercharged form. I do have mods like that air intake system, but really I don't give a care if its fast or not.

lol. ok jon. I drag race at the track almost weekly and have been doing it for a while. youve never even been to the track is my guess.

im not trying to knock the car. It's nice, but not as quick as you think it is.

Yeah but they weigh a good what? 3500 lbs? So the power to weight ratio isn't very good. If you have a SRT4 they weigh around 2800 and are turboed 4 cylinders. They come stock with 230hp and 250 ft/lbs tq. 0-60 low 5's. Whereas the Olds 0-60 is 7.1. The SRT4 1/4 times are mid 13's. I estimate the Olds 1/4 time to be around mid 15's (if that) because of its 0-60. And the best part is that they are $20,000 new.

How could you not beat that deal?

It really doesn't matter if its fast car or not. I don't street race nor you should be. I bought this car for the luxury features and its engine. I like big cars like this. I just don't feel safe in a small car like a neon. I've been driving cars like this for years so its a matter of taste.

woah dude where did you get the info about 0-60 ? Supercharged 3800's can do it in 6.5 sec, and it could do 1/4 mile in mid 13, low 14's.

Its a nice deal, but i take a supercharger over turbo

the power of ur srt4 competes with the supercharged 3.8, which GM rates this as 240hp, 285lbs/ft torque.

I've seen your videos, nice car, but since I don't drive manual, the SRT4 cannot meet my needs
